Melo trade was obvisouly huge, then last year Wallace, Ellis/Bogut and Nene were quite big trades.

The Lakers are a misfit group that is underachieving even with that aspect.

3 games with 40 to go? I'd bet on the Lakers.

Rockers are on a 7 games losing streak. they will bounce back up. Lakers have constantly been a less than .500 team. They are not going .650 from now until the end of the season.

Luol Deng (hamstring) did not participate in shootaround and is unlikely to play against the Lakers on Monday.

Fantasy advice:

Gerald Henderson or John Salmons? Who should I keep...One is more liable to explode for 20+ and had a great run in December...the other is more consistent and has improved as the season wears on and he gets healthier. Salmons has had a bigger impact on boards and assists, but Henderson is a steal or more per game.

:( Varejao... probably good long term for Cleveland though if he can recover in full. They can stock the pool.

Houston getting smoked by the Bobcats at the moment.

That aint coaching, that's a confidence issue.

So goes the yoyo with young, unfamiliar players/teams. The whole Rox team has been on the downside of the yoyo since the NOH game. One team figures them out and they're shook for awhile.

It's why I like the vet presence on NYK and hope we simply ride out Melo/Amar'e through their contracts (maybe trade Stat in his final year). Stability counts for more than a lot of dudes here realize.

Biyombo may not score, but he will be Houstons nightmare if he keeps this up.

You gotta have a proper mix, vets win, kids dont.

They're just fun to watch, OKC is the exception though.

Updates.....Harden walking kinda gingerly, looks hurt.

Memphis and Indy are battling too, had to flip the channel for a sec.

How many moves does Gay think he can make with 1.4 seconds on the clock? Barely even started his shooting motion when the clock was at 0.

Agreed, but even OKC with its UBER talent doesn't go as far without roster stability and vet leadership from guys like Perkins and Fisher. That core learned how to win early. Denver, who I think will keep at about a .600+ clip through the season - likewise has now had a few years and has retained a guy in Miller who knows his way around the league.

I agree. He was trying to do way too much.
