we need to make this team stronger...most of these "star" players are done and will only get in the way of Brunson...
And Believe it or not- Brunson is the type of person who will work with this organization and his godfather...

You need to give Brunson help in the form of a second reliable scorer.

Can hardly call Randle 'reliable' in that department and defensively he's below average.

Would like to find another scorer who can take the pressure off Jalen Brunson. That has to be a top priority. He can't carry the team on his own. Not one player can. Role players are great to have but they will not remove the burden off Brunson.

If we take Minny as an example...I say Brunson needs a player who averages 21 like Towns that embraces Brunsons leadership like Towns does edwards...I think we should trade Randle- I dont think he fits the Nova knicks...and you know what...Divo might be the guy you speak of...Can he take the next step?

Towns is too soft for me. It remains to be seen how far a team with Towns as a second option can go.

Right now Edwards is carrying that team.

And as much as I love JB, I have to put Edwards above him just because of his size with skill.

As for Divicenzo - great role player but nothing more than that. He's too streaky of a player to ever be relied on as a second option.

All I know is we can't 'run it back' with the same team with Brunson in the final year of the best contract in the league. If we don't take at least a semi-big swing by February 2025 then we will be in a much tougher position to improve the team moving forward from there, especially when you consider that Randle will also be up for an extension after Brunson and will demand the max.

I don't know who will be out there. I like Donovan Mitchell even though it's an odd fit with Brunson. I like the dynamic he brings. I don't know if there are any All-Star bigs that will be available on the market. I guess we'll see how the market plays out. Just want that guy who can step up so Brunson doesn't burn himself out carrying the team. This is Brunson's team and anyone coming into this situation will know that.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Let's extrapolate a bit... if you have JB and Spida as your "mini" back court and you come up against Minny in the finals... they've got two elite defenders in Ant and McDaniels to slow JB/Spida down and then you've got Gobert waiting at the rim for them... OG can slow Ant a bit, sure, but are our two headed guard monster dynamic enough to score efficiently? I would like to believe yes... Both guys have carved up the league so far...

The overconfidence on here is pouring out like fine wine. Sometimes ya'll forget we're Knicks fans. We got no right to be overconfident.

Ideally I’d like a bigger guard who can play some defense. But so would everyone else.

I also like super role player Mikal Bridges. But he’s not a reliable scorer.

I’m really curious on how the trade market will look like. All the trash teams like the Pistons and Hornets pretty much have traded their best win-now players. So it’s up to middling playoff teams to decide if they want to rebuild.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

All things equal, if every team is healthy all season and we had OG all year we are prob there w Boston for the top seed, Knicks are a nightmare matchup man. I don’t want any big trades in the offseason that brings in a ball dominant player, I don’t want the ball coming out of Brunson’s hands for a KD or Mitchell(nasty players but don’t fit what we’re doing, I would LOVE someone like Bruce Brown, I was on board with D Murray, he is nasty and would buy into the system(he was nice defensively under pop, no one plays D in atlanta) but not sure if he would fit.

Brunson/McBride
Divo/Brown
OG/Hart
Randle/Bogey
iHart/Mitch

Also, FCKKKKKKK Indiana

Never know exactly what is going on between the ears.
Randle comes off as a good dude, but with a bit of a Ron Artest switch in his head.
He also knows he will be playing for a contract, so if he looks like a 2nd or 3rd banana... he might think he needs more numbers to get his finances in order.

he'd have to be delusional to think that he'd ever be a first option

Brunson plays 39 in RS and 45mins in PO... it doesnt matter... plus adding a SG star sends Donte and Hart to the bench too
