As mentioned above, just 2 years ago, these same billionaires gave up Marcus Camby for the right to swap 2nd rounders. They gave up a player who had, in the past year, played 79 games and averaged 9.1 points, 13.1 rebounds, 3.6 blocks, and 3.3 assists for cash savings only. The vice president of basketball operations and the GM at the time: Mark Warkentien.

He had a major piece of litigation where he owed on a shouse, a fleet of cars, child support and other debts of relatives. NYK paid like 50% of his salary in August and probably got the kicker waived for the early payment. It also means that only a very small portion of the contract is still owed. I bet $3.0mm more than covers the remaining unpaid portion of the contract. MN takes it in this deal because it gives LT relief to Denver. The economics of this deal are the drive for Denver.

Looks like Walsh didn't deny the rumors. This lookingg gooooooood
You're right he didn't deny it and I think he also inferred he won't be adding Gallo/Fields/Mozgov to the trade. Walsh is playing this beautifully.

yeah, hes probably holding back on S WIlliams or Walker like thats too much but he'll give in finally to get it done.
Master GM!!
Mike D’Antoni called Donnie Walsh “great”, but was careful about not involving himself in the ongoing public debate about the future of the Knicks' president.
"Not really," said D'Antoni when asked whether he is concerned about Walsh's status. "That’s something he’ll take care of, management will take care of and it will work its way out. I got so many other problems I don’t…I need to worry about the rebounding and stuff like that. You do your job and hang in there and it usually works for everybody."
The Knicks have until April 30th to pick up Walsh's fourth-year option.
“I’m not on edge, not wondering,” said D'Antoni. “This is a business. There’s rumors about everything. There’s rumors about trades. If you start worrying about everything…that’s the NBA. The NBA works in a way and you just ride along with it and do the best job you can do and control what you can control. And that’s where I put my efforts into. I don’t spend any time worrying about it.”
Walsh has said that he enjoys working for owner James Dolan, but sources say Dolan is closer with D'Antoni.
“I feel like Donnie’s done everything he can do but I don’t have an opinion,” D’Antoni said. “I’ve got to focus on what I’m doing. I’m not an opinion maker. I let you guys do that."

I bet Donnie sends Curry, Randolph, Mason and Walker to Minny. Denver will get Turiaf, Brewer, Azuibuke and a Minnesota 1st rounder and 2014 1st rounder from NY plus cash.
NY will get Melo, Ridnour and Ely
WATCH! Deal of the century
