Absolutely. There is zero reason why his salary demands shouldn't be met. He's 25!!!

I've been here lol. I told them i was done with the Nets for good and a few dudes cussed me out and told me to leave. I did. I get the anger at me but i just want nothing to do with the team anymore. It wasn't personal but it is what it is.

Hope you and you family been alright bro

Never seen Reggie play but I'll take your word for it.

His confidence, calmness and approach is some of the best I've ever seen from someone in a Yankee uniform. Dude is a savant...there is no way he can be allowed to leave. Pay him 50m a season and the team will be making so much money that the tax will be irrelevant

Reggie had such an effect when the Yankees signed him. Expectations were high with the Yanks making it back to the world series in 1976 after missing the playoffs for 12 years. The big red machine crushed the Yanks in the 76 WS, so I'm sure owner George wanted to add a star, and he did with Reggie. It was the talk of the town that off-season. Huge news. They even named a candy bar after him "the reggie" - it was publicity heaven.

Then Reggie struggled a bit his first two months with the Yanks, there were jokes about making his candy bar with marshmallow. They didn't, but it was a rumor. Then he came alive in June. Was an absolute stud in the world series (He really earned the title Mr. October) and the Yankees won the series. Reggie wasn't their best player, but he was their most popular player. Then they won it all again in 78.

20 war over 5 seasons, great bat, bad glove, but 2 world series titles his first two years and a boatload of attention. It's hard to explain the effect he had. He was basically the face of the Yankees, the way Piazza was for the Mets for a while.
Didn't expect to be rooting for the Celtics, but that's what happened.

Go Boston, Go Boston. Go Boston. Crush the silly Mavericks.

Soto is much better hitter than Ohtani.
Volpe has been great so far.
He should lead off.

If guys like Schmidt and Gil can continue pitching well that is a greater win for the Yankees than having to pay a guy like Yamamoto $300 million dollars.

Judge has not looked good so far this season. He is almost an automatic out at the plate. Could be that he did not have a full Spring Training or he might be injured.

Does he normally take a little bit to warm up? Hopefully he doesn't have an alpha dog type of issue with Soto. Just throwing that out there as psychology often comes into play.

Not necessarily a slow starter, but his numbers against the Astros are terrible so that might explain his atrocious numbers in 4 of 5 games at the moment. According to StatMuse, in 44 games, he's batting .181 against them. I don't know what his OBP is, but I'm guessing it's not that much higher.

Gil threw some smoke last night. I was kinda annoyed Boone took him out of the game after only 84 pitches and one out away from a recorded W. I get he's young and coming off TJS, but at least give him one more batter. At least Hamilton, Loisiga, and Holmes weren't needed and got some rest. Anyway, more outings like that from Gil and other guys in the rotation are gonna have to start worrying when Cole returns.
