Magic Johnson is approaching 20years as a carrier of the HIV virus. He has not contracted AIDS and shows no symptons that would implicate a shortened life as a result of carrying the HIV virus. This is occuring while countless numbers of human beings in centralized geographical locations throughout Africa, Asia, South(Latin) America and America's inner cities are ravaged by this virus.

I am a Magic Fan and think that the world is a better place because of his past and ongoing contributions to it. But he IS nearly a billionaire, while the people that contract the HIV virus and almost always eventually die of AIDS are poor and disadvantaged. What is this saying? Magic is and exceptional human being, but as you younger guys may say: 'Comon Son'.

Diminished (deceptively conservative) statistics reveal that the AIDS virus will claim nearly 100million lives since 1981 by the end of 2010. These lives are by and large represented by Africans and other populations world-wide that represent descendents of Africans and Southeast Asia. South Africa (the most mineral rich region of the entire world) represents a disproportionate number of infections and deaths (>97% indigenous African/negroid). The number of AIDS deaths in the inner city, and current rate of contraction there are alarmingly disproportionate.

We are awesome at the diagnosis and disection of even the most complex and intriguing of problems both social and technical in nature. However, the profoundly obvious nature of this issue alludes all of us for some reason and loses its undeniable transparency when engaged by our cognitive abilities.

Why can't we see the writing on the wall, when it is written in the blood of nearly 100million human lives? I think we all can see it, but those that have a heart of flesh that is not diabolical in nature, refuse to face the reality that this situation has the finger-prints of greed and hatred/fear all over it. We don't want to face the reality that we live in a world that contains other members of the human family that have used the gift of knowledge to wage a form of warfare against other members of humanity that is inhuman and PURELY SATANIC in nature.

We ignore the obvious nature of this. Our hearts and minds don't really want to grasp the gravity of what we are facing. Nevertheless, it is always better to face reality, no matter how soberingly disgusting it may be. Those that have waged this war against the poor, disadvantaged, and SEEMINGLY powerless masses have done so realizing that the abscence of true knowledge/education which is the only thing that will transfer truth and unity to the masses, is all that is needed to perpetuate their wicked world dominance (ie human death for the lust of greed and power).

I know this reality is hard to face, but as we get closer to the light of this world our recognition of its darkness is effortlessly life changing.

Is HIV the Cause of AIDS?

There is no proof that HIV causes AIDS. In fact, all the epidemiological and microbiological evidence taken together conclusively demonstrates that HIV cannot cause AIDS or any other illness. The concept that AIDS is caused by a virus is not a fact, but a belief that was introduced at a 1984 press conference by Dr. Robert Gallo, a researcher employed by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). According to the 1999 World Health Organization (WHO) report, the total number of actual diagnosed AIDS cases on the African continent is about equal to the total for AIDS in America even though Africa, with its 650 million people, has more than two times the population of the USA. (61) Africa is often cited as a worst case example of what could happen in America despite figures that demonstrate that 99.5% of Africans do not have AIDS, and among Africans who test HIV positive, 97% do not have AIDS. SIV induces only flu like symptoms in some experimental laboratory monkeys and does not cause any of the 29 official AIDS-defining illnesses. Unlike HIV infection which is said to cause illness only years after exposure and despite the presence of protective antibodies, SIV will cause illness within days of infection or not at all, and wild monkeys retain SIV antibodies throughout their lives without ever becoming ill. Only monkeys in unnatural circumstances -- lab animals with undeveloped immune systems who are injected with large quantities of SIV -- become ill. (65)

In a recent attempt to advance the hypothesis of an SIV/HIV connection, researchers used the results of nonspecific antibody tests to claim that three chimpanzees captured in West Africa had been infected with HIV/SIV through sexual transmission. Efforts to isolate actual virus from the animals revealed that two of the three chimps had no virus, while the researchers admitted that the virus found in the one was not even closely related to HIV. Their report also failed to explain why the "infected" animals did not transmit HIV/SIV to any of the 150 other chimps living in the colony where they were kept, or why their mates and offspring did not test positive. Ten years later, WHO estimates for Uganda remained unchanged at 1 million HIV positives while the total of actual AIDS cases through 1999 are less than 55,000 in this country of more than 20 million people. AIDS is not, as many believe, Africa's primary health threat; several million cases of tuberculosis and malaria are reported each year in Africa while total AIDS cases on the continent for the entire AIDS epidemic hover just above one-half million. For example, in 1996 there were 170,000 cases of tuberculosis reported in Ethiopia and less than 850 cases of AIDS; South Africa's tuberculosis cases topped 91,000 compared to 729 diagnosed cases of AIDS. In fact, AIDS is not the leading cause of illness or death in any African country. (70)

Because of the high incidence of exposure to malaria, tuberculosis and other diseases that produce false positive results on HIV tests, many mainstream scientists question the validity of HIV testing in Africa. (71)

Why would people create AIDS for wealth? What is the benefit of killing those who are poor and can't afford medicine? I could see infecting the rich so that you can make a huge killing in pharmaceuticals, but that doesn't exactly make any sense for killing off the poor. There isn't really any correlation there.

Anyone can make grand statements, but can you logically back any of them up?

(B) The fact that Magic has not died shows that there is a cure for AIDS that is not being disseminated?

(A) is absurb, so you must be saying (B). A possible answer that does not necessarily involve greed or hate is that Magic puts a ton of money into treating his HIV and that while it's a fair point to say we should be more charitable in treating diseases and other epidemics, there are a ton of other problems for which the same could be said. It might be the case that for every dollar we donate, we can save 5 lives from some other epidemic for every one we save from AIDS.

I knew a puerto rican dude back home who had HIV. The dude was in excellent physical condition. And worked out as a boxer. Didnt drink didnt do drugs. Didnt look sick. He just kept clean and kept his body healthy. I asked him once if it was because of magic but he said no. I didnt believe him.

He is dead. IDK the exact cause because I dont have access to his medical files. But I was told he got very sick very fast. This was within a 1-2 year period. This was in the inner city.

You would probably be very surprised the number of people walking around infected. I didnt know how common it was until I was in prison. There is a look around the eyes and cheek bones that can be a bit of a give away. But of course that depends on the person because the guy I knew didnt have that look in the times that I saw him.

I always had a suspicion about HIV/AIDS. I sometimes wonder if it was some kind of population control. The areas you see it most in are poor, run down, and tend to have multiple children broken families. Now I dont know much outside of the inner city. But in talking with some people who have never lived in those conditions, they seem to speak of AIDS as if its a foreign matter. Lead me to think they have never been within walking distance of it.

I dont think there is anything wrong with questioning this. I actually think its a good idea and the OP is well written. It should be questioned. And I look down on Magic for not being way more open with it. He has been secretive as we talked about a long time ago in the magic/rent-a-center thread.

It could be living conditions. It could be mental as well. To carry this dreaded news and have a expiration date could draw a person very ill, while having a weakened amune system. IDK. What I do know from first hand experience is that even if you keep yourself in top shape, and live a clean life, people in poor parts of the world are still dropping dead from it.
