On the BT & Jody Show at 2PM EST.

--Mags

=======================================

Full recap:

-- Broussard agrees with Sheridan.

-- The 4 Team Deal was nixed when Melo didn't want to go to NJ.

-- Chicago and NY only real Players, but Chicago out due to not wanting to include Noah.

-- NY has legit shot with Melo wanting to sign Extension there.

-- You have to take the chance with Melo, whether he meshed with Amar'e or not.

-- NY right there with Chicago and Atlanta in the East.

-- Melo doesn't dominate the ball like Wade and Lebron, he can catch-n-shoot.

-- Felton playing like an All-Star, and would mesh well with Melo.

-- NY would have a great trio with Felton-Melo-Amar'e.

-- NY should try to get him before or at the Trade Deadline and lock him up. Even if they can get him as a FA, you never know what can happen.

-- Wherever Melo lands, extension would be the 1st thing tried to taken care of.

-- You want Melo here with a clear head and happy, even if it means having to give up a Landry Fields, WIlson Chandler, or Gallo.

-- People most shocked around the League about Amar'e (including Coach D'Antoni): His Maturity & Leadership.

-- Chris and many around the League thought Amar'e would fall flat on his face and average at best 22 & 8. He's blown that out of the water with the balance between his Power & Finesse Games.

Sheridan has a chat going on right now. Bulls and Nets are out. It's Knicks or bust.

Thanks for the recaps so far.

As for giving up Fields, I stand firm and say no. One of the reasons why is simply his contract. He is already "underpaid" for what he's doing right now and he would simply be cannonfodder in a trade proposal.

Secondly, we need guys like himwho can make plays without being featured in the offense and he does things that are needed for team success like tipping balls to teammates, making the pass that leads to an assist, etc.

If Denver trades Carmelo to us and we have to give up our youth, Landry shouldn't be included - sorry.

Who would have thought Broussard would be saying something i like for once.

I think most of the time though he just talks out of his *** i mean he was hating on us this offseason with lebron and other free agents. he was one of the biggest haters probably, and then the other day on ESPN he was saying Lebron should have came to NY because he would be better with our team then Lebron is better with the heat, And he said our fans are 10x more passionate then miami.

He goes back and forth alot, and usually what he says about a topic is usually just repeating another report someone made about a top NBA story but in a different way.

It's a good point what you say about Fields small contract, because that difference might be the difference with signing a center, for example.

Man too many in the media were sleeping on Amar'e too much. You don't make all-nba teams and all star teams by accident. They were selling dude way too short...
