We need size and Nikola Vucevic is the tallest player in the 2011 NBA Draft...

Voted Nogueira last time, would still like him.

This time around I voted Klay Thompson who I feel fits the best with this team. He has some playmaking ability, quick release, crafty with the ball and excellent size for a two guard. Nice pedigree seeing on how he is Mychal Thompson's son.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.
C- Maluach l Jackson l Hayes
PF- Okongwu l Newell l Salaun
SF- Wiggins l Bryant l McNeeley
SG- Thomas l Sexton l Okogie
PG- Murray l Collier l Dillingham

yeah, I know the wheels have fallen off the Nogueira train a bit but considering he was the third highest vote getter last time maybe he deserves a spot instead of Charles Jenkum?

I went with Klay as of now too, but Id basically be fine with anyone in the poll besides Selby and Jeremy Tyler at #17. Id swap them with Lucas and Markieff on my top 10.

I see no reason for not liking Nogueria if you did two weeks ago, really. Only thing that I can think of is that he is sending out vibes that he might stay in Brazil for another year or something like that.

lol, ricky.

Eh, since he isn't bound by the rookie scale anymore and can sign whatever contract his agents negotiate if he stays only one more year longer in Europe, he was never going to make it to the NBA in 2011. T-Wolves Fans that had their hopes up for him to show up to camp were either not well informed or just plain gullible.

I wish I could include more choices but dang RGM sets a limit to 10.

Between possibly staying in Brazil and not being ready to play anytime soon, Nogueira just kinda didn't make sense IMHO.

Jenkins and Tyler are included because apparently the Knicks have strong interest in both guys based on various reports.

I know, I still got him ahead of Vucevic and Tyler (but behind Donatas). I'm just guessing he has a lot less hype now with all the new flavors of the week. Also haven't heard news connecting him to the Knicks yet. Still, moocow, that's two votes right there- get rid of Jenkem!

And also, just to touch on the issue of our offense again as previously mentioned in the other thread.

We seem to be getting away from SSOL while at the same time acquiring STAT and Melo who have the ability to incorporate their teammates and make plays when they have the ball (not saying that they do these things good or consistently, however). Melo has shown to have some ball handling ability whereas Amar'e has shown the ability to hit teammates from the high post or off drives to the basket. This leaves me to ask, how important does the PG position really have to be for us to succeed (considering we find a way to plug in other holes)?

I haven't been enamored by the play of Billups or Douglas over the past season to be honest but there was a stretch last season (When Billups went down?) where Douglas wasn't necessarily Steve Nashing it, but playing solidly from the point position while still providing his scoring and defensive abilities. He seemed to progress more as the season went on but he still proved to be wet behind the ears late in games and when Billups came back his role was kind of switched back again...with better offensive schemes in place, could the Knicks get away with Douglas at PG considering he continues to develop his game management skills? Could we run an offense where we have Melo, Amar'e, and our PG spreading the wealth as opposed to the PG dominated offenses at Phoenix? Or do we want a PG who can punish the defense when needed but looks to set others up (Like a current Kidd, although these type of points don't grow on trees...)? Just curious of the opinions...

Looking at possible PG prospects that may fall to us: Jimmer, D Morris, Jenkins (although he's more a combo), Selby (ditto, despite him stating otherwise), Reggie Jackson...

How are these guys going to fit into what we want to do, or what we should do? Would PG really be the most important pick for us in this draft considering the strengths of all the prospects available to us, or would we be better off going after a much needed shooter (Thompson), bench scorer (Brooks), or bigs who bring activity to the paint (Markief and Faried)? Honestly, none of the PG prospects in this draft, aside from Irving, impress me that much from a PG standpoint.

We have a lot of needs but it also depends on what this team depends to do during free agency or any other moves...so I guess we will have to wait and see...we still need a post option offensively, as we have none offensively, and we need to figure out Field's role for the next season considering he fell apart towards the end. I wouldn't mind seeing Rautins more either...but not as point, only as a shooter.

Just my random thoughts so far...

Nogueira really makes the least sense of anyone on this board. Adding him would be pointless cause there's no way Walsh is going to waste a pick on Nogueira to have him sit overseas for 2 to 3 years.

We need a good defensive spot up shooter at the shooting guard position. all the contenders have one. We need a lock down wing defender next to Carmelo. A Defender thats capable of hitting spot up shots at a great rate. A Raja Bell type player.

And a defensive big obviously is needed too.

Ideally I'd like this team to have

Playmaking point guard
Defensive Shooting Guard
Scoring Small Forward
Scoring Big Man
Defensive Bigman

And off the bench I would like a versatile combo forward like Jeff Green, Wilson Chandler Gerald Wallace or Shawn Marion and a point guard that knows how to run an offense.

Jenkins may not be the most talented guy or the guy with the most upside but he can ball. A smart player, a nice potential leader, very strong, doesn't turn the ball over, can do a bit of everything.

I don't think he's that far away- a solid offseason of PED and he's our starter  anyway alright fine, this'll force me to choose another player. I honestly think Janky is just getting lip service from the Knicks because he's a local player. Other than him though, I would be okay with anyone in this poll (yes, even Faried).
