OT: Muslim shooting victim tried to stop shooter's execution

The shooter, Stroman, was a Texas who was put to death after having been convicted for the pre-meditated killings of Muslims in retaliation for 9/11. One of his victims who survived filed petitions with the courts to try and stop the execution because his Muslim beliefs told him to forgive Stroman.

Mark Stroman Executed: Texas Man Received Death Penalty For Killing Store Clerk

HUNTSVILLE, Texas -- A Texas inmate was executed Wednesday for killing a Dallas-area convenience store clerk during a shooting spree that he said was in retaliation for the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Mark Stroman, 41, was lethally injected shortly after his final court appeal was rejected. He was pronounced dead at 8:53 p.m. at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Huntsville Unit.

Stroman claimed the shooting spree that killed two men and injured a third targeted people of Middle Eastern descent, though all three victims were from South Asia. It was the death of 49-year-old Vasudev Patel that put Stroman on death row.

The lone survivor, Rais (Raze) Bhuiyan (Boo-yon), unsuccessfully sued to stop the execution, saying his Muslim beliefs told him to forgive Stroman. The courts denied his requests.

From the death chamber, Stroman asked for God's grace and said hate in the world had to stop.

"Even though I lay on this gurney, seconds away from my death, I am at total peace," he said. He later called himself "still a proud American, Texas loud, Texas proud."

At a morgue in Pakistan's largest city, five linen pouches -- each the size of a loaf of bread -- line the shelf of a walk-in freezer.

Wrapped inside each small sack is the corpse of an infant.The babies are victims of what one relief agency calls Pakistan's worst unfolding tragedy -- the killing and dumping of newborns.
"Sometimes they hang them and sometimes they kill by the knife, and sometimes we find bodies which have been burned," said Anwar Kazmi, a manager at Edhi Foundation, Pakistan's largest privately run social service and relief agency.

Records at Edhi Foundation show more than 1,200 newborns were killed and dumped in Pakistan last year, an increase of about 200 from the previous year.

Families view many of these children as illegitimate in a culture that condemns those born outside of marriage.

Statistics show roughly nine out of 10 are baby girls, which families may consider too costly to keep in a country where women frequently are not allowed to work. The babies are usually just days old. Their corpses are often dumped in Karachi's sprawling garbage dumps, where they're sometimes mutilated by street animals, Kazmi said. He estimates hundreds of baby corpses are never found.

Osman – an Iraqi Kurd who has settled in Britain – also shouted that Jewish people were ‘animals’ who ‘should not be allowed in this country’.

An Australian convert to Islam was pinned down and lashed 40 times for drinking alcohol by a group of Muslim men who broke into his home to punish him for breaking sharia law, a court heard Tuesday.

The man, 31, was allegedly restrained and whipped with a cord in his Sydney house Sunday morning by four men who forced their way in after he went out for drinks with friends.
One of the four, Tolga Cifci, 20, appeared in court on charges of aggravated breaking and entering and committing a serious indictable offence.

Prosecutor George Lolis said Cifci saw the man's drinking as "something against Islam" and justified his actions with a "particularised usage of religious law". He showed "complete and utter disregard for the laws of this particular state", Lolis said.

So if we are to believe Obama, Islam is a religion of love, and the followers of Islam just wish to live in peace with us. As much as I would like to think Obama is just out-and-out lying to us, I really do think he believes this. How else can he justify his claim that after spending 20 years sitting in a pew of Rev. Jeremiah Wright's church, he never knew the man was a racist? Americans must have believed him because they elected him to be our president. That being said, I guess it's up to us to educate him about the truth. Unfortunately, I doubt that he will ever read what I write, so I'll just have to settle for sharing it with those who are open minded enough to read the truth.

Obama and his sycophants in the MSM may disagree, but from the moment an orphaned epileptic Arab from Mecca invented his own religion to build an army, Islam has been a religion of pure evil, a religion that has more in common with rogue military regimes than philosophical entities worried about mankind's souls. If ever there was a religion that could be described as being born from the depths of hell, Islam would fit the bill. Muhammad created a religion whose holy scriptures call on all Muslims to submit to Allah, and to subdue people of other religions until they are in full submission to its rule. This has inspired the aggressive history of Islam and its success in conquering other cultures. It is the only religion on the planet that is systematically killing those who are not of the Muslim faith, and they have been doing so for 1400 years. There could be an argument made that today's version of Islam is as vicious and totalitarian as it was when Muhammad was still alive. However, you would need an honest media to see the proof of my charge, and that is not going to happen anytime soon.

What she said is exactly how I feel, and that is why the press has an obligation to inform us of the evil that is intent upon our destruction. Unfortunately our media wants us to believe that Obama's religion is one of of peace. That is why they are actively suppressing most of the news about the atrocities being committed by Muslims all over the world. Now, they cannot suppress it all, but they do chose which atrocities to share with us and which they will not. Nowhere is that truer than when you look at what the media chooses to show us from Israel. For over 50 years, Israel has been under constant attack by Islam. While the media does show some attacks, their coverage is usually slanted away from the truth, and that slant makes them as evil as the religion of Islam. Sderot's Call on the Mainstream Media:

We ask you respectfully to change the way you report the continued rocket fire on Israel from Gaza.

The latest statistics from Natal, the organization dealing with post-traumatic stress, show that 70% of the children of Sderot suffer from symptoms of post-traumatic stress two and a half years after the Cast Lead Operation and a full third of Sderot's residents feel constant post-traumatic anxiety.

Seven rockets, missiles and mortars have been launched from Gaza towards the western Negev's communities over the last few days.

The disproportional coverage of these rocket launchings and explosions is found in a dry, terse report on mainstream media that takes a few seconds of news time. The issue is barely mentioned by the msm, who state (luckily so far) only that there were no injuries and no damage to property. That is not really the case, as anyone who lives in constant dread of the next missile knows well.

We at the Sderot Media Center urge you to emphasize these strikes more emphatically, to describe them as illegitimate and criminal examples of warfare against innocent civilians. Otherwise, what the media are aiding unintentionally is tacit acceptance of Islamic extremist terror against innocent civilians.

The shooter, a self-described "real American," goes on a shooting rampage killing multiple victims, just because of their heritage. Shooter gets found guilty and sentenced to death-penalty (which I don't believe in) and Muslim victim who survives files court petition to save his life.

You just never - I mean NEVER - hear of that kind of compassion amongst, yes, so-called "real Americans." If this had just been another senseless rampage against some non-Muslim "Americans," they would have been selling tickets to the execution like it was a Saturday children's' matinee at the local movie theater.

Especially, in light of all the anti-Muslim protests and mosque-burnings, I thought this was a remarkable story about compassion, religion, forgiveness, etc.

I guess others here don't quit see it the same way.

The OP was raised as a Muslim, he has admitted this. But he now considers himself a "deist" which is a fancy way of saying he's agnostic. So he's definitely looking at this through some rose colored shades.

Secondly, this thread was meant to bait and incite, as most of his threads are.

I have no problem engaging in an open and honest debate about a so called religion which to me is no more than a theocrarcy which uses violence as a means to control and manipulate others into submission. The word Islam itself means "submission" (to the will of God).

Its the bolded part that gets everyone into a tizzy. it may not be common to see people have compassion on killers, but it doesnt mean that all Americans wouldnt have compassion. I've already told my wife that if someone kills me and is sentenced to death, let it be known that I told you before it ever happen that I dont want that guy put to death because of me. And I told her if they killed you I wouldnt request they be put to death. I pray that me or her are never in a position to have to make such decisions, but if we had to id like to think we'd stick to what we believe in. Lumping us in with this group of real americans (which I am) isnt fair. While I can hold in my gripes with what your saying, others are going to be outright pissed off at what your implying there. Thats just my take on it. It is a great story though, reaffirms that their are others out there like me.
