Bittersweet moment for me. I was 19 and in a relationship with a girl who really loved me. On the night of this game, I was sick and had a throbbing headache....because she wanted to spend alone time with me and all I could think about was if the Knicks were winning. Long story short....we win, Im happy, she starts fighting me in the street, and she breaks up with me two weeks later.

But hey, we made it to the Finals.

That was a very good year for me and the Knicks. I believed in that team when everyone killed us. It was such a shame that Pat couldn't play. Remember when Spewell almost single-handedly won us a game at the garden and just missed that final shot?

Look at bearded up Herb Williams.

When he dies, he'll be buried in MSG's basement like a pope.

It's funny, why do they give us sooo much attention when we are focused on a sports team?

Well this can happen again, so this the time for the fans to put aside any negative thoughts, criticisms, about any of the players, coaches, etc and get behind this team 120%, let the players know we are there for them all the way.
The players believe they can do it, but they still need the fans to let them know they believe in the team too.
SO LET'S BRING IT ON!!!!!! BELIEVE IT TO BE!!!!!

Dude my current girl KNOWS when the Knicks are playing, I shut the world out. Yet she still gets pissed at me when shes sitting there trying to have a conversation with me about whatever banal BS women like to talk about and Im straight ignoring her. Im like, woman youve known me for years, GTFO of my face when the game is on!

Damn, I was 19 back then too, but the girl I was with was a psycho and we eventually broke up. Out of all my relationships, that was the worse and looking back breaking up with her was the best thing that ever happened me. But, then the Knicks lost in the Finals and that was the worst thing that ever happened to me.

Nothing will ever compare to 1994 for me. I was at Game 7 against the Pacers and the crowd was in an absolute frenzy and Patrick Ewing stepped up when it mattered most. The flagrant foul call on Reggie Miller was just icing on the cake.

yeah. i remember this game. i was alone in my parents' apartment and watching on tv i had been sitting the whole time being totally nervous and thinking the pacers would pull off some wild comeback (i usually start pacing and what not at 2 minutes). when the buzzer went off i started jumping up and down and after several jumps the sudden rush of blood up to my head made me dizzy and lose balance. i fell and hit the chair hard and broke it. cut my leg at some point but didn't notice until several mintues later

it was great

and yeah, i did tear up slightly as i watched it just now at work.
