Re: STAT and Tyson working with Olajuwon this summer
but i thought amare would be too busy in class to work on his game
this is good news, they should be able to work out some basic post moves

Please just teach Amare how to box out and be more alert on defense, Dream. Thanks.

Re: STAT and Tyson working with Olajuwon this summer
Hard to imagine this being anything else but good. Between Amar'e and Tyson they have a combined zero post moves, so if they can both learn just one thing that would be amazing. Hakeem in theory is the perfect tutor, but I'm not convincing myself that we will really see two new offensive players next year.

The Dream was a great two-way player. Both can learn a lot from him. Very happy to hear this.

Re: STAT and Tyson working with Olajuwon this summer
YES!!!!
Although I feel like the 2 or so meetings they have won't make much a difference. Tyson definitely has the size to be dominant in the post, but they tried this when he was younger and it didn't work out... so I'm not gonna get my hopes up. Amar'e could really benefit from a simple hook, but I don't expect it to come in one summer.
Personally, I rather hear about Melo, Lin, Stoudemire, Tyson and whoever else working out together this summer. Well we already know Tyson and Melo will continue to play together with team USA, with both of them having a shot at starting. And Lin will play them with the select team, which should be nice... although I don't expect that to do much because IRC JR did it too a few summers ago.

Good news. Putting in work with Dream can only change things for the better.

Does Olajuwon charge these people? How come he isn't a big man coach for some team?

I respect their decision to make a commitment to their post game but I find it hard to believe they could develop consistent post games. I hope they prove me wrong.

I don't know. Didn't Dwight train with him last year? He didn't look any different in the post this season.

Trained with him 2 years ago IIRC. Hakeem actually helped A LOT.

Re: STAT and Tyson working with Olajuwon this summer
its incredible news
it shows their commitment to improvement and hopefully will develop Amare's post and defensive game and Tysons offensive arsenal slightly

By far the greatest center of all time. I remember this series. He flat out embarrassed DROB that year.
The thing is Amare definetly has the quickness and jumpshot to become like Hakeem. I am actually shocked that he has never worked on his post game. Its really telling actually of today's game. Other than maybe Gasol, I don't think any big man has a decent post game. Big man development has really dropped off since the 90s.
