As long as hes taking his medication/therapy who cares what he has. Hes a healthy and perfectly capable guard under the age of 30.

I'd sign him, but we know the team wont.

Melo values his friendship with LeBron, no way Delonte is a Knick.

Sign him and immediately start production on reality show starring JR and Delonte. It'll be more watchable then the games.

I still haven't really heard what we have to lose, other than maybe White being able to help out in guarding big perimeter guys.

Some of you are saying he's too crazy. If he flies off the handle, you release him. This is not a young team that can suffer damage from a season's worth of Delonte. It's a veteran team that would only have to put up with him for at most a few weeks. Less if he goes AWOL.

Distraction? Nah not really.

You are talking as if Felton/JR/Prigs will get us where we need to go, so don't mess up a good thing.

Let's be real -- the Knicks are not going to beat Miami as presently constituted. There is a much better chance of us falling into the 5th seed than there is of the Knicks beating Miami on the current trajectory. Falling out of 2nd is more likely than not at this point, since we're in semi-free fall at the moment.

There really is no downside. He's the best and most experienced point guard available and he's also a swing man who can play off the ball.

Delonte isn't a difference maker between beating and losing to Miami. The guy has some serious mental health issues and we don't know how he's like behind the scenes. Mavs are a veteran team as-well and they cut him. There's a reason why nobody has shown interest in him. The guy isn't mentally fit to be a part of an NBA team right now.

Your opinion about him not being able to help the Knicks beat Miami is not downside at all.

Unfit to be part of a team is something you're inferring but don't know. And even if it were true, you can test that theory for chump change.

There is no substantiation to the rumor. And Melo doesn't get to decide these things in semi-functional organization ... because of his friendship with another player no less.

It's been more or less confirmed by a few players who were there, including Sczerbiak

No, that's why I treat it exactly as anybody should. Unsubstantiated rumor. And that's what I said above.

Then you shouldn't believe anything on the internet then.

Besides numerous players confirmed those goings on, I'd rather believe them....guys who were on the team.

But it matters none, since no one knows on this board, we do know Melo gets his way, as he should.

I might want Delonte on the team, but it will not happen.
