? abt Amare, coach, heat game n refs
1. i have noticed in the last few games Coach Woody has pulled Amare in the last qtr with 6-7minutes left of each game when OBVIOUSLY Amare has been shooting well, bull dozed over the other teams PF and played decent D. yet he still takes him out and NEVER puts him back in the game. I think its very stupid, if its not broken y try to fix it. LEAVE Amare or bring him back in with 3-4 minutes left. Im not liking that at all from Coach. bad coaching led to 2day loss to the Heat
2. Jordan use to kill us in the 90's you couldnt even look his way because you would get called for the foul. now a days its LBJ. he argued with the ref n cursed at him yet no tech was hit on him if JR, Melo or Tyson have done the same thing i guarantee they wouldve got hit with the Tech. LBJ for sure fouled Tyson but once again if that was LBJ going up for that shot he would have gotten the foul called in his favor.
3.we lost thanks to so many turnovers, dumb 3's shot in the last 5minutes of the game. and J.R throwing sum soft dumb passes that led to points.
4. the refs tend to give teams we play the benefit of the doubt 8 out of 10 times n its becoming ridiculous. we will not make it past the 2nd round with all the complaining we do, refs aint going to change their minds or the call. we r known to be naggers n they have put us on the scope. we need to play thru it n stop arguing with the refs even though we all can see the frustration n how poorly some refs call these games.
still have hope. KNICKSTAPE

Yeah, LeBron was called for that foul on Melo in the opening minute of the game.
Then he allowed to hack all he wanted for 47 minutes with no foul calls.

The way Lebron is officiated is disgusting. The refs were the difference makers in today's game as well as the 2012 Eastern Conference Finals and NBA Finals. David Stern is a fraud.

Lebron 6 freethrows.
Melo 12 in the first half alone.
Lebron gets hacked like noones business and gets no-calls. Refs hate the Heat.

I'm nto gonna say it was all on the refs, but Heat fans would respond with "Melo had like 2 times the free throws as Lebron"
But they never look at it from the other angle, that Lebron is allowed to do whatever the hell he wants on defense... I've seen the dude handcheck with no calls being made.. just because he might not have a lot of free throws doesn't mean the game is being reffed fairly.

While you complain about LBJ I find the favorable treatment to D Wade even more ridiculous. He always extends his forearm to create space and never gets called for it. Melo does it too but he gets called for fouls way more often than Wade and he has to play against more physical guys.

everyone hand checks are you serious lol they just don't get called but melo did get way more calls than lebron and lebron should be getting more calls this year with his driving to the rim. This game was hardly biased reffing tho we lost because we weren't the better team.

LeBron got called for 1 foul and it was the opening play
Heat fans bring up Carmelo getting more FTA's but dont watch the game to see Carmelo drawing all that contact. Remember he got 8 of his FT's from the LeBron foul and Battier fouling him on 2 3's but what about the and 1's vs Birdman and Bosh which were not called, yet LeFlop can hold, push and bump all night

Fun fact of the day: The Miami Heat would be 0-57 if every time after a game, the fanbase cries of the games being rigged, and that Miami would have lost without the refs help were actually substantiated in reality, and not post game sour grapes.
Yes, LeBron's block on Chandler was a foul, but don't sit here and pretend like you aren't unbiased by listing the times where you felt the Knicks were fouled when nothing got called and chalk it up to the refs "cheating for Miami", which is ludicrous given that David Stern would want nothing more than to have the Knicks be a legitimate title contender every single season.
How about Battier's 2nd foul in the 1st quarter on Carmelo where Melo got 3 free throws when there was obviously no foul? How about at the end of the 4th on the Bosh layin where he was pushed in the air and there was no call? Give me a break. LeBron does get a way with a lot on defense, but he is consistently robbed of free throw opportunities because he gets hacked and it doesn't phase him, so it isn't obvious to the refs.

I saw LeBron settling for jumpers today more than driving inside, show me plays where he was aggressive, got into the paint and didn't get calls he should have got.
JVG said it best. LeBron is athletic, and Melo is strong.

I meant this year, not today. Notice how I'm not complaining about the lack of calls for LeBron from today because he took what the defense gave him. I don't even know what to say about the difference between athletic and strong, what does that even mean? If you're implying that Melo is stronger than LeBron, why is LeBron so, so, so much better finishing around the basket? And before you say something like, "He's not!", since I'd imagine you would... Here: Melo around basket - 55%, LeBron around basket - 78.8%.

Try again. When you are settled on jumpers and avoiding the contact calls won't come to you very often.
However the hold on Chandler's left arm and then a "block" and run up to tip on the teammate's miss? Yeah refs hate the Heat in the way they hate their betting money.
Are you fans of the team or the player?

I believe Melo is stronger and can handle contact better than LeFlop on a basket-ball court.
Melo is not the athletic freak James is, he obviously doesn't play above the rim the way James does and therefore shoots lower % shots, but he can bull post someone down low and still get a bucket or a trip to the line despite a defender reaching and hacking.
James does not do that, you rarely see him trying to establish position down low, he will always prefer to step back and get a different look, either a pass for a teammate or his jumper of his own.
Melo isn't physically stronger than LeBron, he just has a different mental approach of the game which makes him special. If Melo didn't have that, he'd just be another scorer in this league, but he's a superstar for that reason.
Melo reminds me of Allen Iverson in that aspect.

Well, his approach to the game clearly isn't working, given his unimpressive playoff career performances. He could learn a thing or two from LeBron in what is or isn't a good shot.

James has better shot selection, no question, but perhaps if Melo had Wade and Bosh and a selection of two way players around him, he'd have a better playoff record to show you.
I am not impressed with LeBron's Cavalier career in the East, Melo's Nuggets were good as well but played in a tougher conference. That team with Billups/Melo/JR/KMart/Nene was solid. In 2009, they beat Dallas with Dirk/Kidd in 5 games and only lost to the Lakers in 6, same as Orlando that year. As a Cav, LeBron never got to play the Lakers in the first round, or a 50+ win Jerry Sloan coached Utah team.
LeBron took the easiest road and was able to be part of an All-Stars trio. He took advantage of an incredible situation where a 47 win team with a superstar actually got enough cap space to sign two more.
I was mad at Melo for not waiting for free agency himself, but we got Felton back since that trade, so we really only lost Gallo which is fine by me and I'm over this discussion. Heat also lost Michael Beasley trying to get James, who at that time, was still viewed as the number 2 pick of the 2008 draft with potential. In this league, when you target and get some, you have to lose some.
LeBron was widely criticized for years for lacking the mental toughness champions require, see the losses to Dallas in the 2011 Finals. I don't believe he has improved much on that aspect, the fact that the Heat eventually won a ring last year, and are leading the league again this year just shows how soft this league has become.
I believe Melo with these Knicks can beat the Heat, they will need everybody to step up though from top to bottom. JR/Chandler/Amare all need to be better two way players and be more consistent, and the coaching needs to improve. Spolstra has done a good job in Miami, let's see how well Woodson does in NY. I never heard anyone complaining about the Heat coach rotation though...

I could give a shat about LBJ fouls, tbh. What I want to know is out of the whistles in the last 15 minutes, what percentage went to each team. I have an idea I know who got most. Not just fouls, but out of bounds plays, travels, everything.

Agreed. I am tired of arguing about refs. We had the game in the palm of our hands but executed terribly during the 2nd half.... I agree Lebron gets away on defense sometimes but it is somewhat balanced out by him not getting as much calls on the offensive end. Overall, I don't think this game was decided by refs. We played great in the first half then in the 2nd half we played like ****. Its not like we didn't get some iffy calls in our favor as well.

Melo had a much better supporting cast when he went to the WCF than Lebron ever did when he was on the Cavs. Lets not get in over our heads here.
