General Rock Thread

Post#1 » by br7knicks » Thu Aug 29, 2013 2:52 am

I don't have the rock thread book marked, and can't find it on google. Can merge or lock if you mods want to.

True Warrior, where you at? I bought it yesterday when it came out. I like their hit, Hail to the King, Requiem, and Doing Time. But my favorite song is This Means War. Don't like M Shadows with hair.

Ha I havent listened to this band in a long time man. When Waking the Fallen came out 10 years ago it was one of the first albums to get me more into music outside MTV/the radio so Ill always have some type of love for these dudes, but they progressively lost me after that. I heard some of their new songs and ehhh.

Like I said in the Eminem thread my taste has really changed the past few years. Theres so much great music out there in hundreds of genres.

Saw them in Atlantic City last year for Metallica's Orion Music Festival. They still kick ass.

Pretty solid album but they rip off a lot of Metallica, G&R and others on that album . Either way, I definitely prefer their heavy metal/hard rock sound over their metalcore sound.

How does Arin Ilejay stack up to The Rev? The Rev was a sick sick sick drummer man, just a beast, he is what made some of the old A7X amazing.

Thanks for your contribution. Just because you don't like a certain kind of music, or band doesn't mean you need to come in here and say it. I don't go finding the hip hop threads and saying crap about stuff I usually don't like.

The drumming is pretty basic/straight forward. Although I think I heard the guys in avenged held him back on this record.

I didn't mind it until the guy started singing. Sounds exactly like Jmes Hetfield.

Again, your opinion. I think 99% of rap sucks, doesn't mean the music is garbage.

This is a great record, perhaps the best material du genre in the 21st century, there aren't many good young rock bands publishing and touring at the moment, but A7X definitely leads them all!!
They learned the best of Metallica/GNR/ACDC and are good kids too.
Wish them the best. There's some good hiphop all around the globe at the moment, and not enough good rock'n roll but these guys are for real.

This means war sounds a lot like sad but true.

I like metallica and gnr, so I liked this album.

I hate old A7X. I don't like metalcore and screaming. Beast and the harlot

Never got into them, fast paced metal with screaming is imo boring as ****. I'm only 23 but there is only one band formed in the 2000's that listen to semi regularly and that is KOL, which is for pretty casual/easy listening purposes. There is just no current bands I find interesting whatsoever.

Thanks man. You too. Shame 10.0 fell thru.

My music taste changed too. Dont really listen to 80s metal anymore. Listen to easier music In my old age. Our band in HS used to play polyamer and so cold by breaking benjamin. If you like them, try RA. One of my favorite growing up.

Do you call my name; sky; and they do a cover of Every little thing she does is magic
