seriously.. obviously im a knick. but HOW??

i was wondering since the nets traded for those two grandpas from boston. How in the heck does everybody love the nets and hate on the knicks. Even last year everybody was sayin the nets are better than the knicks.

didnt they (the GM'S) see that the nets got ripped by nate robinson plus kg and pierce are defeated by father time? I dont know maybe im too biasd, but really i dont think lopez and kg are a better frontcourt than chandler and bargs. They have potentially more scoring with lopez/kg but defensively.. idk

we clearly have the best player on our team and our sg and pg depth kills the nets quality i think. The nets will be a tough smashmouth team, but really the only two high level basketball palyers right now are dwill and lopez.. and to be honest, deron williams and lopez are not THAT great not even on carmelos level

i really dont see the nets above my beloved knickerbockers!! we upgraded too, everybody seems to forget/overlook
im bout dat action boss

Those guys are old, but Terry and Kiriklenko aren't chopped liver (And I HATE the Nyets)

But they do have some age and injury concerns. They could be first if they get 100% health, though I don't think they'd run away with it or anything

The Nets have looked solid.

KG and Pierce will help them during the playoffs.

And again..winning the Atlantic would be nice but lets not forget that real success is what you do in the playoffs.

I'm not even sure the Nets care about winning the Atlantic as much as we do. They are probably more focused on preserving team health.

Can we stop now with this whole "media hates us, we get no respect" thing we've been doing for the last couple of seasons? Clearly we're not seen as a threat to anyone.

This is also telling:

Which player forces opposing coaches to make the most adjustments?

1. LeBron James, Miami -- 66.7%

2. Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City -- 13.3%

3. Chris Paul, L.A. Clippers -- 10.0%

Also receiving votes: Stephen Curry, Golden State; Tony Parker, San Antonio; Derrick Rose, Chicago

Last year: LeBron James -- 50.0%

We have a player who won the scoring title and not one GM mentioned him. This can only mean he's seen as predictable.

What was the most underrated player acquisition?

1. Jrue Holiday, New Orleans; Andrei Kirilenko, Brooklyn; Luis Scola, Indiana -- 10.0%

4. Jared Dudley, L.A. Clippers; J.J. Redick, L.A. Clippers -- 8.3%

6. Mike Dunleavy, Chicago; Andre Iguodala, Golden State; Paul Millsap, Atlanta; Josh Smith, Detroit -- 6.7%

Also receiving votes: Steven Adams, Oklahoma City; Marco Belinelli, San Antonio; Eric Bledsoe, Phoenix; Earl Clark, Cleveland; Jarrett Jack, Cleveland; Al Jefferson, Charlotte; Mike Miller, Memphis; Paul Pierce, Brooklyn

Last year: Andre Iguodala -- 16.7%

I see Scola in 1st place (this was a hot topic in the summer) and no mention of either Udrih or Bargnani.

You also see Mike Miller mentioned, so you know the list isn't to be taken seriously.

Same song and dance every year.

The A-Division title was nice, but since 1973 this franchise has done very little to earn respect. On the other hand, it's done a helluva lot to earn hatred since Dolan took over nearly twenty years ago.

The answer to this debate is the same every year: The Knicks will get respect when they earn it. Winning one Atlantic Division title was enough to push the needle slightly in the right direction, but not nearly enough to undo the damage done over the career spans of the voting GMs.

If you watched a colleague consistently f*ck up for 20 years, then have one marginally not horrible year, would you predict good things for year 22?

To me, our only saving grace is the high likelihood that Prokhy is equally incompetent.

These are more fun to look at the older seasons votes and chuckle at how most GM's got a lot of things wrong.

We went to the Finals in 94' and 99'. I'm sure we got a little respect then.

Please dont go to the general board with this statement, if you want to live!!!

I dont see it either how the nets are suddenly this great team. They improved yes, but we were better last year and most certainly didnt get worse. It will be a tough battle. But with KG and PP sitting for a good share of the games, i think we will take the atlantic crown again.
In the playoffs? Thats a whole different story...
too many urkels on your team, that's why your wins low

Let the media keep doubting us, and like last year, watch them conveniently forget everything they said when they are wrong.

I think the Knicks are pretty focused on preserving their own health, from Amare to Martin to Artest. The difference is, those 3 aren't the Knicks 2nd, 3rd or maybe even 4th best/most important players on the team. So maybe in that sense, yeah, I suppose the Nets are more concerned about the health of their players considering KG/Pierce need to be the Nets 2nd/3rdish and 4th best players to succeed.
