Woodson almost pulled it off.... almost, for one season.

Get the right environment and Cousins would be lethal. It's the kind of move that could be awesome in a season in or two. Not now, imo.

I guess it's not just a matter of production with Cousins since he's getting his in Sac but could Phish get his producing in a winning environment and keep him from having his usual meltdowns.

Happy for Murry. Good luck to him, except when he's playing the Knicks of course ;)

Two things:

1. Cleveland Cavs going after Mozgov, heightened my hatred for a city that has replaced Boston as the city of fans that cries like they are the sisters of the poor every time something doesn't go their way. I hope that city never wins anything in professional basketball. The only thing I want from Cleveland, Mark Price's bones and Drew Gooden's leg.

2. The Los Angeles Clippers, another annoying fan base that "crosses swords" in an orgy of "I was a Clipper fan back when Bo Kimble scored 10 points as a rookie." Traded Jared "from Subway" Dudley. Another chump that the Clippers were hoping the Knicks would bite and give up Shump. I would rather have old man, Chris Dudley back. The "Shaq killer" (facetious tone) at least plays defense.

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine 19m

Carlos Defino surely a waive-&-stretch candidate for Clips. Given their salary-cap issues, they won't want to add salary even for one season

Would the Knicks consider giving Thabeet a training camp invite?

Why? He's HORRIBLE. I've said since he was playing in college he'd bust...no lateral quickness, no offensive skill, isn't a good rebounder, can't get up and down the court, etc. He's horrible.

Agreed. As a Uconn alumni, I can say that watching him get tossed around by 6'7" "centers" I knew he was a bust.

What are the Philadelphia 76ers doing?

Post#417 » by SwaggedOut30 » Wed Aug 27, 2014 2:42 pm

Are they just stock piling centers? Tanking again? What is there plan? Can we have one of there centers? I've never seen a rebuild like this ever.

Thabeet's contract is non guaranteed and will be waived, Philly did the trade to get the cash considerations the Thunder are sending them.

OKC did the trade because they didn't want to waive Thabeet and get nothing in return, so they traded him to Philly (who is under the cap) for a Traded Player Exception of about $1.2ish million. They can use that TPE in a future trade.

All I know is that they have something like $24M in committed salaries and the NBA minimum salary floor is somewhere in the $57M (?) range. Hinky saying they aren't worried about but did note that they have flexibility to get some things done. STAT????
