Newsday was once a great newspaper - the 2nd best paper in NYC, with better sports coverage than the #1 paper. But then various things happened (most of which happened before Dolan), and the paper is now pretty much an afterthought (unless you're on LI). The entire newspaper business is on the ropes, not sure why Dolan would want to buy in.

I can't believe how bad Newsday is now. The writing/editing is horrible and its reporting/journalism is worse. Ever read the comments sections? The biggest bunch of neanderthals I've ever seen. Probably trolls from the now-closed NY Post comments sections.

Look I give Isola credit. For the most part everything he says is true. The Knicks and Dolan make it easy for him. Isola will get a job in 2 seconds if he's let go by the Daily News.

This is sort of similar to Defense Companies, powerful "interest" groups/people and such, owning all of the news companies. And that has worked out well...
