In that time span we played in two finals and in some epic playoff battles with Heat and Pacers. No way is this most important day in 30 years. I know it's been brutal mostly but some perspective please. I think you can make an argument for 20, 15 definitely, thirty is a bit of a reach.

Sure, they're great that night. Next day they're cool.

But day 2 you turn on Sportcenters and maybe there's a parade story. But by day 3 the media has stopped talking about how great your team was and they starting focusing on other sports and next season.

Before 72 hours have past, you're thinking about next year too.

The other people or media might not care about it too much, but for me if the Knicks ever won the title, I would watch literally every game of the playoffs again if I can get a copy, buy every title merch I can, go on realgm (if it still exists) and talk about it for the whole summer, go on youtube to watch highlight mixes of moments of the playoffs, probably buy more jerseys of players on the title team. Yes I do have a life outside of basketball, but I wanted this damn team to win a title for over 2 decades being a fan of this team, and still the only team that I have been a fan of that still hasn't won one in my lifetime. So yea, it will probably take me a good year and a half for me to get off a knick championship high.

+1,000,000 Been waiting my whole life.
I'd love Clyde to see it while he's still around too.
Madgrinch knows more about basketball than me......

Def an important day never in my life have I dream about the Knicks, muchless twice in one night.

I didn't like the dream either
First dream about the lottery we got the 5th pick and we were all pissed

Second dream about the lottery we got the 4th pick and we came to the conclusion that we are just cursed.

Not an exact day but free agency will be more important this summer.

Sign the right guys in FA, pick a bonafide star in the draft and you can make some noise in the East.

Sign the right guys but pick a bust or someone slow to develop...well, I think we can beat Toronto, but it'll be harder to improve. Paying a stud player a low salary is one of the best bargains out there.

Pick a star but not sign the right guys...might have to think about how long Melo can be an effectve player.

We're either gonna get the chance to draft a SUPERSTAR (in capital letters)... or we won't.

I don't even want #1. I just want a top 2 pick.

Yea I feel like if it's top 2 or bust. Unless Phil isn't even targeting any of the consensus top 2 picks

Wow. The Knicks the only team to fall out of the top 3 lottery.

Good thing we got those extra wins at the end of the season.

I guarantee you that this draft only has 3 franchise changing players and ALL will be gone by #4.

All that is left for this off-season is to max out Greg Monroe and hire Isiah Thomas as team president.
It's hard being a Knicks fan...

I honestly feel like I'm having the same reaction to this as I did the night of the decision. You knew it would work out this way but sometimes you have faith. Damn.

The curse of Patrick Ewing will not be reversed until James Dolan repairs the relationships with the great Knicks or the 1999's. From Ewing to Van Gundy to Oakley to Sprewell.

All I am saying is we have no idea how the top 4 will play out.

Really no clue...Teams may get a serious boner for Mudiday's potential and athleticism and the Lakers may think Russell is Kobe 2.0

Lets just hope we get the best player of the draft at #4 and next year we all look back and say...You know what, that day was something special.

I think that's our highest pick in 30 years.
I will only cherish the wins and ignore everything else, because that's the only way to survive as a Knicks fan.
