Would you move melo for #2 pick?

I don't feel like a bandaid is going to work for your franchise. It's likely that the lakers sign rondo and want to compete well Kobe is still able, plus they have randle to develope. Would you move melo for the #2 pick? I also think knicks fans are undervaluing mudiay, he was a top player coming out of high school and didn't get to show a lot in china, he has huge upside. So you get to pick okafor and mudiay, plus they will need time to develope so get a lottery pick next year instead of melo dragging you to an 8th seed. Then start seriously competing in 2017. I know knicks fans are tired of losing but quick fix is not the answer. Thoughts?
