I would be down to do one if we switch it up a little. Different format or something. The last one I did fizzled out early. :(

I always liked the idea of doing a straight-up "Win Now" BAT...these rookies being allowed in the draft are so subjective, at least if you had a "Win Now" BAT, there is much more risk involved in selecting rookies, and definitely a whole lot of strategy on which of those prospects you would select and in what type of role they are thrust upon.

I know the argument is that whomever is lucky enough to land one of the Top 5 picks has a crazy advantage, well, yea they do...as they always do in these BAT's. But there are PLENTY of "Win-Now" players you can build with in this league. Everyone reaches on youth and the rooks early on, there are always big time players available even into the beginning of the 3rd Round.

What I would propose is a "Win-Now" BAT with a March Madness Bracket Style Tournament. Assuming complete health of every individual selected. I don't want that to be confused with thinking Kobe Bryant becomes prime Kobe, or Rose becomes prime Rose, or even that Joel Embiid reaches his Hakeem Olajuwon ceiling...it's assuming the health of a player at this particular stage in his career. This will definitely open up a lot of subjectivity towards discussion and should definitely make things interesting. We can determine a "Power Ranking" throughout the draft process after each round, and at the end, we'll set up the Tournament based off the end results of those rankings. And we vote collectively on each matchup until we determine a winner.

i agree. that's why i think we should do it now instead of waiting til the NBA draft. we haven't seen the rookies and how they play, what's the point in having them? if we need to include the rookies, we might as well wait til after SL so we can have a clue on how they play against, at least, other mediocre NBA level talent

Coolkids, Blue Ninja pulled out, gotta update the main page. Looks like we're still a few GM's away from getting this started. What's the verdict on a start date?

Confident my BAT 12 team would contend for a title.

Westbrook and Gobert creating havoc on defense with shooters like Korver Olynyk and Afflalo.. Dear God.

Your BAT 12 team doesn't make the playoffs without the injured Durant and Tony Parker's worst season of his career.

Durant might as well not even be drafted in BAT if his injury is going to be held against him like that.

Why wouldn't it be held against him? You're telling Mecca that your team would "stop him in his tracks" in regards to his comment on how he'd contend for a title. Well, hate to break it to ya, Durant wouldn't hypothetically be part of that, as he was out for the rest of the season. He missed so much time in fact, a more talented OKC Thunder team didn't even make the playoffs in the West.

Injuries are a part of how people view these BAT teams. It's the reason why everyone was so high on my team early, than completely soured once Bosh was diagnosed with the blood clots. I had to trade Bosh and depth for Nowitzki, just to keep my team in the running. If not for Bosh going down, my team would have been even better than what it turned out to be.
