Thats what I was saying before the draft! Kaminsky would have fit the triangle perfectly and hes ready to play now! He was worth a higher pick

Of course Kaminsky looks amazing he's one of the oldest people on the court and he's a very good player. Kaminsky will be a fringe All Star and maybe sneak in a game or two but he's not a top 5 pick.

In 10 years... who will have the better career PER, Okafor or Kaminsky? Haha

Can't wait to see Porzingis, Grant, and Labeyrie.

Didn't watch past the first 5 minutes of the game but 19 point on 19 shots isn't very impressive. What was so impressive about what Frank Kaminsky did?

His opposing player had 13... Not really impressed with his stat line tbh, but was just wondering if it's telling the whole story.

Lol I fell asleep for a good portion of this game so I can't really say. I woke up and Kaminsky had already scored 15 points. I'll say this tho...if Porzingis puts up the numbers that Kaminsky did in any summer league game, most of this board will be doing back flips.

True. Mostly because he's regarded as raw and not a good rebounder though.

Frank went cold in the 4th quarter, he had 19pts and a double double in the 3rd, didn't score again so the FG% suffered.

Nit true, most of those guys are his age or older.

A fringe all star or possible all star is exactly a top 5 pick, what are you talking about?

The average age is 22 so he is the average age. And no you want a perennial All Star with a top 5 pick in a good draft like this past one. A fringe All Star doesn't cut it.

Except he wasn't a top 5 pick he was a top 10 pick so enough of the strawman arguments.

In the last 5 years? Are you serious? Who the hell is in their primes that young? How about the fact that from 1990 to 2009 (20 years) 52% of top 5 picks became All-Stars and 43% either made All-NBA teams or won DPOY. That's counting the complete lack of talent in the 99-01 drafts. And remember this was seen as a good year for the draft. Picking a guy that MIGHT be an All Star at best isn't smart.

And I miscalculated the average age I should've used Excel. It's 23. One year older than Frank but still pretty young and it wasn't even like he outperformed Stanley, Justise, or Myles.

So like I said, Kaminisky wasn't older than everybody on the court. Thanks for admittedly my your mistake

How about MVP's Derek Rose and Curry? Anthony Davis? Blake Griffin? Westbrook?

And how does 19/12 not outperform 15 points or 13 points ?

You watch the game? In the 4th quarter he was pretty bad, and he was nonexistent defensively. Justise was meh offensively but still ended up with 15 points and defensively he looked amazing. Whenever Stanley wasn't on the floor Detroit looked terrible but the second he touched the floor he was making plays happen on both ends. His skills looked really polished and he didn't have any long periods of bad play like Kaminsky did in the 4th quarter.
