It started with scooters in wal-mart, now these. Soon we won't have to make that difficult and stenuous movement of bringing food from our plates to our mouths.

Theyre definitely not status symbols because I mean look how crappy they are aesthetically. The unicycle one is more of a status symbol but those things are just this decades Segway.
