And why in the crap would an intelligent organization, who just gave a max contract to a guy who is now out for the season and on the downside of his career, give a max contract to a PG who isn't Top 5 at his position.

Maybe I'm wrong, but if Mike Conley gets a max, I doubt it'll be from the Grizzlies.

Fact of the matter is Conley is worth a lot more to the Grizzlies than anyone else. They have hard time pulling FA's because of the market they're in so they can't just replace Conley especially with the lack of young assets they have. This Gasol injury has given them a chance to get some value for their guys and rebuild around Conley who is still somewhat young but, they're refusing to do it. I think it's a dumb move but, I understand it Guys like Conley put butts in the seats. If they were to lose Conley that diminishes their appeal to FA's and more importantly, for the owner, their fans.

But you're still talking about building around Mike Conley...why? And no, nobody is coming to see Mike Conley lose 50 games.

People don't come to see Anthony Davis lose 40, but people are gonna show to see Conley? Poor logic

He's been embedded in the culture there and is a fan favorite. Personally, I think they should blow it up because this team has had its run and it's clearly not going anywhere but downward. But, again I can see why management wants to/is going to try to re-sign Conley and not trade ZBO/Gasol or TA. It will keep butts in the seats even if it's probably not the best basketball decision.

I think we have to do something at the guard spot even if it is a cheap option I think they have to do something.

lawson is the only one out of that group that can drive and shoot. Jennings can't do anything right now, that achilles probably ended his prime career.

D'Angelo Russell is available. Lakers are probably asking too much for him though.

Lopez? Untouchable? I doubt Phil sees it that way. He was our plan C or D in FA. He can go in the right deal

Everyone can go in the right deal. Im not saying Phil sees it that way but I do. He's a great defender who hits his free throws. Also, when the cap goes up his contract will be an even better value considering what Whiteside is about to make...

Calderon and DWill for Lawson?

I'd do it

ya know with all the hype about a melo deal, nobody is paying attention to what the knicks might actually do. A trade is going to catch everyone by surprise.

Hell no. Lawson sucks guys. He's an alcoholic and hasn't looked good anywhere since. And his play style don't match the system. At best id offer Seraphim. I like Dwill.

The point is to get Calderon off the books. Lawson is a FA next year.

And yet Jennings and Lawson have looked about the same this season. Jennings has his Achilles to blame, what does Lawson have to blame? James Harden?

Rubio making 15 mil in 2019? Hell no...that would be a disaster even with the rising cap.

Only thing Rubio had to improve upon was a jumper. Only thing holding him back from being an elite PG. Such a shame...
