I can believe whatever I want, however, it would help if you correctly read what I said. Him being a throw in for a larger piece would not make him a centerpiece, you came up with that on your own. Because he's a very, very solid PG.....they would only throw him in a deal where they are getting something big back. I don't need to explain the rational, I'm sure you get it. I think Rozier has a lot of the same skills that Bledsoe has, minus the terrible ligaments in his knee. He might be slightly less explosive, but he's heady all the way around, and again, can actually stay on the court. Stevens likes to use his depth, but if he didn't have three other PG's, trust me...you would have seen him a lot more than you did. Once that team figures out it's direction, you should see the emergence of Rozier soon after....either with or without them.
I read it correctly - I was making a separate point. Him being a piece in a major trade means very little. Mozgov was a piece in a major trade and he hasn't done too much since the trade (even though I still wish we had kept him). I don't see why he's a "very, very solid PG" considering what little he showed last year and what he showed in college. He's probably improved, but he has done absolutely nothing at the NBA level to warrant the "very, very solid PG" label you gave him.
I also don't see Bledsoe at all.
We will see what he does this year, but he has shown nothing thus far in his NBA career that says "good" NBA PG, IMO.
Did I miss Rozier playing in the all-star game --- Rozier is very meh and he's certainly not a true PG by any means. Tough kid, solid defender --- meh every place else.
He played in garbage minutes because Boston was loaded at the guard position last year, rookies riding the bench isn't anything knew for playoff teams. He showed some potential in the playoffs last year after Bradley got injured but even then, not enough to go off of either way. He isn't a true point guard agreed, he was forced into the position after Louisville's starting pg was tossed from the team. He was however a Wooden award winner, lead the ACC in defensive rating(and steals) and was a slasher on offense. He had a pretty good soph year. Boston has hinted on multiple occasions that they expect Rozier to take over Turner's minutes from last season. Him having the highest P.E.R in the summer league doesn't prove a lot, however Brad Stevens has stated that Rozier has been the most improved player in camp and management is high on him, it would most likely make no sense to trade him befor he' s given an opportunity to play decent minutes. He's one of those guys that hav more value to the team they're currently on.
