I went with a C but that might not be fair to Jeff, he inherited a new team with a lot of new guys on the team so he has an uphill battle ahead of him. He is finally making smart changes to the lineup, and I think that was part of him getting to know his personnel for who they are and what they can do THIS year.

I would like to give him a B Minus. I will remove that minus when I see how much playing time Lance Thomas gets when he is back from injury.

What about his daughter? I'd give her an A.

His rotations have been better. At least KP or Melo must be on the floor at all times.

You Sir are completely correct, I need to change my vote to A+.

I was waiting for someone to make a joke about slipping her a D.

I am very disappointed.

melo mvp 15 wrote:It's a solid B. There's a lot to complain about, but I think he's really stepped up and been a huge reason for our recent wins (which isn't something you always say about a coach).

I started off incredibly frustrated with him because he seemed to be recreating ALL of Fisher's biggest mistakes: rotations weren't tight, he insisted on playing traditionally big line ups, and the defense was atrocious. He fixed the first two issues as the season progressed, which is very impressive. Although I worry the tighter rotation and smaller line ups are more due to injuries than his preference.

The biggest problem with this team has been our defense and you have to put some blame on Hornacek. First of all, to not have a defensive assistant assigned (especially when you're a coach who is so committed to offense) is a huge blunder. Second, I honestly believe the Knicks are comprised of mostly average to good individual defenders. The only "bad" defenders who play are Rose and Kuz. Based off their careers, I think Noah, Lee, and Lance are legitimately great defenders- but they've ALL grossly underperformed on defense this year. KP has the potential to be great defensively and showed flashes last year, but it almost seems that he has regressed defensively. I'm in the minority here, but I think Melo is a legitimately good defender and has been for the past few years (despite his old reputation that people mistakenly assume is still true). And everyone else is either above average, slightly below average, or average defensively. So for this team to be as bad as we are defensively is probably due to bad defensive coaching.

I think if you don't count the defense, I'd give Horny an A because the way he has adjusted and improved since the season started is very impressive... but that defense is just terrible and it's obviously very important.

jennings atrocious on defense. holiday is a better defender then thomas.

Half the guys on this board still live in their mom's basement. They'd as soon slip on a banana peel as slip a girl a D.

Let's give him a b/b-, still hasn't mastered the rotation and the defense is a work in progress. However, after the Houston game he realize that Porzingis needed the ball more and quickly fixed that problem which has improved the offense by leaps and bounds.

Yeah I also thought by now someone would have Rose to the occasion.

Got his rotation down 70 games faster than Fisher. He's good with me.

So far he gets a C.

Bad defense 'til "the meeting".

He's Finally just letting guys spam the pick & roll/pop like a modern NBA team.

Too much Lance Thomas(when available), not enough Holiday & small ball.

He Let Sasha see non-garbage time minutes.

I think his rotations have been beyond solid and he's hetting the offensive fluidity pretty smooth

Defense takes time and there have been make improvements already
But that takes the longest
