You just KNOW he's going down the minute he signs that extension.

As expected by this franchise. Max him out while we're at it. He's a well known name, and that matters more than him being an awful basketball player.

if he stays healthy, I'd like to see him return. Not at the cost of something better but, at the same time, don't want to go back to point guard hell with players who refuse to drive or can't take it to the rim. Jennings has to be brought back imo.

I just keep thinking... If we didn't get him off Chicago we could've signed Wade and Chicago couldn't have.

Why would you bring back either one? We're a .500 team going nowhere. You don't bring back mediocre vets when you're a mediocre team!

Why rush to resign him? We're not even at the break and who's to say we won't be looking to tear this all down and commit to the tank before the deadline.

how? the trade did not clear cap space for chicago. the salaries nearly matched.

signing noah and lee precluded the knicks having any available money for wade. and i don't know why if he left miami it wouldn't have been for chicago anyway.

lee was smart money. but getting noah was a major tipping point in landing lee. it was noah's phone call that sold lee. we might have been hard pressed to get him at all, let alone at the price we did, if noah wasn't working the phones.

but, in the no rose dream scenario, d-wade joins the knicks to create a starting five of:

calderon
wade
melo
KP
lopez

?

y'all know this article means absolutely nothing, right? just on-schedule pot-stirring for fans like us who think we know it all.

"not ruling out" means... what? "considering?" "highly likely?" "highly unlikely?"

media wins again.

This is a BAD **** IDEA. Do not let that selfish turd stay on this team longer than this season. Phil: make your legacy about KP and building a team that will be competitive for years to come, not just this simmer around the 8th seed for the foreseeable future.

and what options will be available to us? And the fact that we are losing is a TEAM wide issue which, does not preclude me appreciating what they are capable of doing while being away of their warts too. They are better than pretty much anything that's going to be available in free agency. We don't have pieces to trade for someone better so, would you rather have Calderon (I can't defend, drive to the rim and won't shoot) and Gerian (I'm slow and can't shoot) Grant.

we need to spend the money on a legit all-star caliber player. The plan should be to have KP as the #1 guy and an all star at the #2 guy and Melo as the 3rd option benefiting from all the attention that KP and the other guy are getting. When that happens then we are talking championships.

Only way I'm cool with bringing him back is on a cheap deal which obviously won't happen.

He's over the hill, can't shoot, has the worst injury history in the league and is a terrible fit next to our future cornerstone. That's not the type of dude you sign into his 30's. Imagine Rose when his athleticism naturally declines yeesh

if he stays healthy, is there a better option out there in free agency 2017?
