My favorite Met games to watch were with Big Sexy. They went by so fast haha. Loved watching him pitch.

Yeah. He was a fun player to watch. That's pretty cool.

One season. I remember him from Cleveland when he first came up. I also seen him a few times on the Mets. My friend had company tickets.

It was an event when he pitched at home. The way that his two seam fastball would dart in towards - or come back over the outside corner - to a RHH was amazing to watch.

Pedro Martinez was a like that too when he finished his career with the Mets. Pedro has very long fingers and could make the ball do crazy things.

Pedro was an amazing pitcher. Different arm slots. Just an amazing pitcher to watch.

When Pedro was with the Mets, he dropped his arm slot (lowered his elbow) to get more movement since he could only throw about 92, if that, by then.

He was amazing with Boston. Johan was another great pitcher for a minute. I am a huge Mussina fan. That knuckle curve was the best of his five pitches.

Yeah, Colon's 2-seamer moved like a damn screwball. It was a thing of beauty.

Clocks ticking. Who is next?

Verlander is the obvious one. But it looks like the Mets will have to foot a lot of his remaining salary.

I would like to see Lindor go, but he has a no trade clause and a pretty big contract lol.

Mets trade Mark Canha to the Milwaukee Brewers for AA/AAA pitcher Justin Jarvis.

In their latest trade of a veteran, the Mets ship outfielder Mark Canha off to the Milwaukee Brewers. In return the Mets get the Brewers 12th ranked prospect, pitcher Justin Jarvis. Or the 30th ranked prospect. Let's take a look at Jarvis, his numbers, his scouting report, and when might he able to help the big league club.

I’m fine with this move. We’re replenishing a farm system that was devoid of desperately needed talent.

I hope this is just butthurt. Or just a way to get him to waive his NTC... Because Ohtani is a once in a lifetime player. It would be crazy not to at least make an attempt.

Same time. Ohtani wants to win. So unless Mets plan was to sign him and 5 other high-caliber FA lol...

I don't know how good their farm system is... But apparently Drew Gilbert is their #1 prospect. And Ryan Clifford is their #4.

I know they say the NBA trade market is inflated, but damn. Giving up 2 of your best prospects for Verlander.

Same for luisangel acuna for Max.

If Ohtani would legit think about coming Cohen will open his checkbook

But I actually commend this direction...the 40 year old starting pitching route didn't work out and we used Cohen's big bank account to rebuild our farm system and now we have one of the better ones that can help suppliment the major league roster down the road or use them as assets in trades.

Scherzer and Verlander were always short term mercenary plays...it just didn't work out. But glad they pivoted.
