You can pretty much put it down for a loss if they need Fournier to play big minutes. They had no depth

Cool post except no one really feels that way

I definitely hope this is not the start of Donte era.
Grimes has been reaching into Frank territory.
But I still want to believe he is the 2 guard next to Brunson.
I hope he steps up.

Any other organization imo would have fired Thibs just to see what this team looked like with someone else before trading players. We literally traded guys based off how Thibs was misusing them and we gonna pay for it.

This is the most interesting part tbh…..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“My initial reaction was the Knicks overpaid because of the hypothetical value you could maybe get for Quickley on paper in a separate deal,” an NBA executive told HoopsHype. “But the Knicks are in a good place to use Julius Randle and picks to make another big move, so that justifies them giving up two of their scoring options. Anunoby’s health is also a factor that’ll help determine how this trade ages.”

This is from a rival gm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guy has had some bad fortune .... he's missed 82 of the last 268 games played in the past 3.4 seasons. That's good for being absent 30% of the time.

I'm hoping that he can shake the freak injuries in NY. Knicks can't get anywhere without his contributions.

And that bit on Randle is interesting. Since switching agents, it seems he's not safe if a superstar trade emerges. But who may become available??

Donte can ball. 38 pts (15-21 shooting), 6 rebs, 4 stls. His shot is butter and he comes up with lots of steals, rebounds, and hustle plays out there. His on ball defense probably isnt great enough as a starter to cover Brunson, but maybe OG helps with that. If he ends up going back to the bench eventually then he may be able to replace IQ’s scoring with the 2nd unit mostly. Either way the guy is more than worth his contract so far and seems he still has some potential.

Hartenstein is playing well out there filling in for Mitch (9 rebs, 6 asts, 4 stls, highest +/- of the starters), but the problem always was who plays the 5 when he sits. Taj and Sims wont cut it. Maybe Precious surprises us, but no doubt we could use Mitch off the bench to keep our patented 48 mins of elite rim protection. Mitch is always hurt though so this is just part of the package with him and why we should move on.

Julius was in his feelings for this game against Obi. He put up good stats with 28 pts (9-22 shooting), 12 rebs, and 4 asts (5 TOs tho) but acted like a baby in important moments, complained to the refs too much, and tried to just outmuscle guys (especially Obi) when he had nothing. I dont see any Obi slander here so you know he did well, as he had 9 pts (4-6 shooting), 8 rebs, 3 blks, and 2 asts in only 20 minutes.

Brunson has been a bit up and down these last few games. 28 pts (9-22 shooting) and 6 asts (4 TOs) is solid on paper but he didnt have the magic tonight. It happens though and he’ll be back.

Josh Hart had 10/10 but also the worst +/-. He isnt a starting SF but can hopefully help solidify the bench mob when OG comes.

Grimes and Deuce are going to get some more looks now with IQ out of the way. Hopefully they can both step up.

Donte can shoot and play but it feels like empty calories. Put in Grimes.
