Ham decided to play Reddish in place of Russell for the entire 4th quarter. All that did was let Denver off the hook. Reddish is somewhat useful defensively, but not in crunch time against Denver.

Yeah that was clearly a foul.

This will be the story of RJ‘s career. Good numbers on a losing squad. Now what can he do playing alongside guys better than him. He’s not a #1. Can he be a #2? He didn’t have the skill set to be a #3 here. What’s his ideal role?

The Raps are trying to figure out the best way to use him.

The good numbers on a losing squad bit kind of weird though, since he joined an already losing team that even Anunoby couldn't save this year.

OG and RJ are very different types of players with different roles on a winning team. OG plays well off of high usage guys, while RJ struggles in that role. That’s why it was a great trade

In theory great trade (for both teams), yes. but OG has to be on the court. he hasn‘t played 70 games since his rookie season, which should be a way bigger story. especially with the contract coming up.

Agreed. That’s why id like to draft a defensive wing this year to hedge our bet.

It's very complicated to gauge the overall potential of a defensive wing specialist. Because if the player can not develop his shooting, it will be hard to find minutes for him. We have a lot of high-drafted players who are struggling and a lot of low picks who got important minutes. In the last 7 years.

Great picks: OG Anunoby 23, Kuminga 7, Sochan 9,

Fair Value picks (considering the draft position): Thybulle 19, Clarke 20, Grant Williams21, Josh Green 18, Sadiq Bay 19, Suggs 5, Dyson Daniels 8,

Probable failures (considering the draft position): Pat Williams 4, Okoro 5, Davion Mitchell 9, Zlaire Williams 10, Ousmane Dieng 11, Agbaji 14, Beauchamp 24,

Failure picks: Josh Jackson 4, Isaac 6, Frank 8, Culver 6, Reddish10, Langford14, Sekou15, Little 25, Hayes 7, Duarte 13, Wendell Moore 26,

Steals: Derrick White 29, Josh Hart 30, Dillon Brooks 45, Vanderbilt 41, Bruce Brown 42, Melton 46, Cody Martin 36, Terence Mann 48, Amir Coffey (undrafted), Caleb Martin (undrafted), Jaden McDaniels 28, Naji Marshall (undrafted), Hebert Jones 35, José Alvarado (undrafted), Tredon Watford (undrafted), Payton Watson 30, Nembhard 31, Vince Williams Jr 47, Gabe Vincent (undrafted).

I researched players drafted as defensive specialist wings. Brunson was never a defensive specialist. Even some 2 ways players such as Mikal, Trey Murphy, Vassel and Nesmith I left out because they already were viewed as great shooters.

Man Celtics just embarrassing the Warriors. I really think the Knicks at full strength are the only team that matches up well with them. They gonna bulldoze their way to the finals if we aren't healthy.

I am amazed but not surprised how bad Phoenix is. They went from a great young core that made the finals into an old team with zero depth and no chance to a ring. Brooklyn will benefit handsomely

I wouldn't put Isaac as a failure but he's hard to gauge. Isaac's the only one still on his team and has insane defensive ratings and is low-key important for the Magic this year. Check out the splits/advanced stats with his defense in our lineups. His failure is his constant injuries but he's pound for pound one of the biggest impact defenders even though now it's only in 15-20 min spurts.

All the extra stuff and lack of availability overshadows how actually good of a player he is.
