Since the trade, Fournier is averaging 9 ppg on 49% FG, 43% 3 pt.

MJ must be playing through migraines.

We know how much this can affect player performance.

In his defense, he is dealing with a severe case of sucksitis.

Open request to MSG to blast this over the court whenever Burks is overdribbling

Grimes and Evan combine for 5 points on 1-8 shooting. Net negatives on the court yet again. Grimes 1-11 shooting last 2 games. Plus/minus at -28

Man, what happened to Grimes though? Nice to have an ego, but you gotta back it up with action, though. The guy was given every opportunity to shine and instead, he threw it away.

He really would have been our long term solution at the 2, but if he can't even cut it on the worst team in the league, that shows a lot and the team was rightfully justified to let him go.

Yeah, Grimes' shooting has been terrible in Detroit. He seems to be having some of the same struggles that he was having in New York. Rushing some of his shots and just not being a good enough on-ball player to create his own offense at this time. He seems to believe that he can do more with the ball in his hands than people expect which may be possible since he is still young and he has shown flashes. His defense is still great but I think he needs to focus on becoming more consistent as a catch and shoot guy right now and then building upon that. Unfortunately he is playing with one of the worst benches in the league that doesn't generate many open shots.

He went from playing with second unit guys like McBride, Hart, Precious, Taj and Sims to playing with Flynn, Fournier, Fontecchio, Wiseman and some guy named Evbuomwan. None of those guys are good enough to run an offense and generate good looks. I'm curious to see what Grimes looks like when Sasser comes back and when he starts to play longer stretches with Cade and hopefully develop some chemistry.

Even with Grimes' struggles this year I still rather be giving him minutes right now while trying to build his confidence and rehab his value instead of playing 2 guys at the end of their careers in Burks and Bojan hoping they can help us with what is possibly a lost season. They were supposed to help the bench to be more effective while helping to keep the team afloat and reducing the strain on the starters. Instead the bench unit looks worse, the team is still losing and the starters are still playing heavy minutes with Hart actually playing 47 minutes last game and Bojan and Burks already down to 18 and 11 minutes respectively.

He was starting to play well again before getting hurt...thus Thibs starting to trust him again with more PT...he just needs to find confidence in his shot again.

Hart: Run around like an idiot during the game and f*** s*** up!

We let another young superstar go

Wait...Jacop Toppin reminded us that 26 G-League points equals about 4 NBA points.

He had 11 pts in 17 mins against the Magic in his first ever real nba minutes he’s ready to pop off now. Bojan is going 0-7 out there and Burks is Burks

What's funny is that Fournier was and is better than both of those old bums we got back. Let alone a young prospect

It's easier to shoot when games don't matter win or lose over there in Detroit. Evan can just shoot all he wants with guaranteed minutes, no requirements to play good defense. Fournier won't shoot that freely over here, when he is looking over Thibs ready to pull players if they don't give any defensive effort, with exceptions of course. Bogdanovic is finding that pressure out here. Not so easy to shoot when you're in New York. I'm surprised at Grimes though, as I assumed he'd shoot better elsewhere with no pressure. Guess he was never that good to begin with.

Fournier can't defend at the SG but set the Knicks record for three-point shots two seasons ago. Not playing him at all was a coaching decision. We just acquired another guy who seems cut from the same template.

Grimes is evidently going to need an off-season to get his head straight.
