Wait, he lost his dad too? I knew about his mom. Damn man :noway:

yep happened during his time with the raptors i believe

Early in the championship season I believe. He started that season slowly, affected by the loss of his dad, then sadly missed those playoffs with appendicitis. I always said the Raps would have won the title in a couple of fewer games with OG playing.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

He can no longer get appendicitis, so maybe now that his bone chip is gone, he'll hold up for us a little better. I love how he plays on both ends and really want him on the floor as much as needed.

I think the coaches are taking into account last year's growth as well. He had 2 years back to back where OKC had big jumps in wins and standing. I think Thibs did an amazing job this year but not going to be mad that they give it to the OKC coach.

He did, but going from 10th place to first the west in a 12 month span is still a huge achievement

Salute.

Someone said that this'll be the first time in 5 years Giannis hasn't been unanimous 1st team All NBA because Perk voted for Brunson

But speaking of, something that's interesting is that Giannis and Jokic both won 2 MVPs in back to back years, but then the year after they won the title

Embiid ain't winning MVP this year, and though he only won 1, it'd be interesting if that trend of players winning MVP the year before they win the title keeps up.

Heh, tinfoil hat time, I see.

Curry might be on the list, too.

Knicks/Lakers would be the most entertaining Finals we could get. I'm so ready for it.

Rematch of 70, 72 and 73.

Not happening though

Man I’m gonna feel salty if Brunson is left off the Olympic team. Obviously we’d love for him to get rest but the man was there for the team when no one wanted to play.

It's moreso fit. Halifraud is a good playmaker and the team has plenty of scoring already.

Look at it this way, Brunson played into the 2nd round last year, FIBA, then this year where he carried a massive amount of the offensive load. Now he's headed into a playoff run without Julius Randle. It's probably better to let him use this summer to rest, especially when next year's goal is to win a championship.

Brunson will get his chance in the '28 games.
