In the final 10 games the Knicks need to go 3 games better than the Bucks do in their last 10 because the Bucks own the tiebreaker to get the 2nd seed. So even if the Knicks beat them in their last meeting on April 7th and it doesn't effect the record projections required to secure the 2 seed.

Since the Bucks lost the first of their last 10 games if the Knicks beat the Spurs it's then having to go 2 games better over the final 9. Bucks go 5-4 the Knicks need to go 7-2, if 6-3 then 8-1, if 4-5 then 5-4 is good enough. The significance of beating them head to head match up means they only need to be 1 game better over the other 8.

In the past 10 games the Bucks are 5-5 while the Knicks are 8-2 and a win against the Spurs pushes a win off the back of 10 so they stay 8-2 in the past 10. This game against the Spurs is an incredibly important game for the Knicks, it's not a must win but a loss makes the odds much longer to get to 2.

A loss let's the Cavs and Magic keep pace with them for potentially dropping down to 4-5 with the Cavs .5 games behind and the Knicks with a game in hand plus owning the tiebreaker. The Magic 2 back have the tiebreaker and same number of games remaining with all three teams playing on this same night but the Bucks are off.

A Knicks win and Magic loss makes it difficult barring a collapse to lose HCA and also a Cavs loss makes it similarly difficult to lose the 3rd seed because of tiebreaker and game in hand. With games against OKC, Miami and SAC in the next 3 this one against the Spurs is huge.

The Knicks going 8-2 over these last 10 games gives them the same record as the Melo Knicks that went 52-30 and were the 2nd seed.

Show us something Knickerbockers, this is it.
