Next we are going to exorcise the 2013 second round series with Indy and bury Tyson Chandler's ghost for good

I am still delirious right now, but I also don't think anything is done until it's actually done. Today's win broke my 5/25/93 fear, and I'm really hoping they can close it out Tuesday. I don't want to give a combined all-time MVP/foul merchant/dirty player like Embiid any room to breath. I don't care how depleted or injured he is.

One dude goes all out trying to injure people, relies on the refs to get 20 free throws, and has his FO and coach crying too.

The other guy just dominates the other team.

And we didnt need to play dirty to beat them on their court. We played the same way we have all season and stayed focused.

he has a tendency to suck in elimination games but we can't get too cute now. can't turn down big time talents when we have guys like donte who's been choking on both ends. same with people who don't want embiid, donovan mitchell.. etc. even goes back to when people didn't want to trade KP for booker. we get too attached to our role players and overrate them like crazy. we saw it in the frank days when nobody wanted to trade him either lol

First, like a dolt, he chased Brunson full court and then left him open for an easy lay-up

Second, with 24 seconds left he missed point blank at the rim and then fouled Hart who outrebounded him on the miss. He whined about getting fouled, but nada.

You can argue about Knicks being delusional and wanting to keep their role players over star players but at this point if you want this herb Joel Embiid in a Knicks jersey you’re a masochist.

Embiid is perennially injured and a certified loser in the playoffs. That’s definitely the complete opposite of what we need.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Win or lose, the Knicks need to stay the course and bring in players who fit our character - tough-minded, defensive-oriented, etc. The NBA isn't a computer game. Adding Dame to Giannis (at the cost of Holliday and other assets) may have actually made the Bucks worse.

I wonder if we should try fronting Embiid with Ihart. It worked really well with og and precious on the floor and it could work with Ihart too. Or is that too much to try to do that all game and be forced to scramble almost every possession?

This front office just needs to keep cherry picking under appreciated players and drafting well to keep the ball rolling

The days of building a champion via team gutting starphucker trades should be a distant memory. I don't understand people who always get agitated over getting guys like Donovan Mitchell, wanting Embiid. Most stars are going to be over the hill or in decline by the time we would get them anyway.

Just keep building around Brunson. It's working.
