Man hate to see him go out after that last game. He looked like a 90 yr old man who couldnt take the cold.

he still had a great season.

it's about time. the man is so damn old. im sure he wants to live a long life, and you can't take hits like that anymore at this age.

I can't believe this. I thought he would have come back considering the team GB has. Good to know the Giants killed his dream of going out on top, though.

Favre is just angry that the 6 of the past 10 playoff games he has played he has been embarassed in.

As a Viking fan its hard not to admit i love this news.

He was one of the greatest of all-time, and it will be great to see Aaron Rodgers fold under the pressure of replacing a legend like every QB has done in Denver until Cutler.

Last 7 postseason games, 15 INTs, 2-5 in that span.

I have a hard time putting him in the 1st tier all time QBs. No other "elite" QB had the ability to COMPLETELY take you out of the game with his mistakes. He is HOF, one of the best, but I don't put him in top 5 all time, probably not even top 10.

He went for the knockout too many times & it cost him dearly. That playoff game against the Iggles like 4 years ago. Overtime, Packers defense makes a stop, 1st play of the Pack possession, Favre throws one of the worst passes I ever saw. Dawkins was just standing there as if he was about to call a fair catch! That is a season ending play that made NO sense.

There is no way you can name 10 QBs that were better than him. Every QB struggles in the playoffs besides Montana really. Brady has cost his teams games in the playoffs often the past couple of seasons. Favre was also unbelievable in the playoffs up until the 2002 game against the Rams where he threw 6 ints. I really don't see any way you can have him lower than 6ththrough8th all-time.

Montana is clearly better
Elway is better
Brady probably
and then the following group is whichever way you prefer
Favre
marino
Manning
Unitas
Bradshaw

unless you completely hate Favre for being the media darling he is, or weren't old enough to see him in his prime in the mid-90s i can't see who you could have in front of him to have them as the top 10 of all-time.

Im sorry but you cannot be serious with Steve Young ahead of Favre. Not even close, Young had what 5 good years?

Favre NEVER MISSED A GAME. The guy was a warrior, a little too risky at times but a true legend
