Mayo=McFadden Westbrook=Gholston

I think this is a good Jets/Knicks theory, Mayo is the flashy scoring player, that everyone covets and wants, as is DMAC, and Westbrook is the Bandwagon guy, that is a Workout Warrior, and has huge athletic ability, and is a defensive specialist, just like Gholston, and just like the Jets went out and got Gholston, i think Westbrook is our pick, not that i love him, but its a need, and maybe he can put up 15-17 ppg a game, while playing tremendous D. I still think we'll grab another pick, if its with Crawford, Lee, Steph, Etc....... but i think its a good comparison.

Another highly touted "workout" warrior the Jets have picked is Dewayne Robertson and he turned out to be a bust. In fact many of these guys who managed to do great in individual workouts or perform well on drills such as running around cones and get drafted higher then their body of work suggest they should end up being busts. If the Knicks draft Westbrook I am not going to condemn him right off the bat, I'll give him a chance, I do like certain aspects of his game, things that he showed when he was playing but when I hear Donnie Walsh raving about how he didn't realize the size and explosiveness of Westbrook until he saw him in person it worries me. I hope that is not why Walsh is so interested in him.
