The dude regularly contradicts himself twice during the same news cycle. "I love it here, I want to retire as a Kings player but they need to trade me right now oh my god I'm so sorry I didn't mean it I love Sacramento but I will not stand for being disrespected so trade me. But don't."

Try going to your job and telling your employer that "Im Ghetto" and see how long you have a job. You can be a good guy all you want, but when the "ghetto" comes out, people tend to overlook that.

One of my other cousins got his head beat with a bat right in my hood. Either that’s going to happen to you or you are going to kill one of your brothers or sisters. The drugs you give them might affect a baby about to be born. All you are doing by dealing drugs is affecting your people. You are killing your people and making a little bit of money on the side.

I have to keep it 100% true.

That’s why I always go back. I went to Africa, the motherland. That’s where my people are from. We were shipped here but I wanted to make sure I went home. The next time I go, I’m going to make a bigger difference."

Although Ron is one dude I've been unable to "wrap my hands around" because I grew up a St. John's fan in the days of Mullin, Berry, Glass, Jackson, etc... and I thought his (and subsequent) classes left the university in a lurch by declaring hardship, I think people are overreacting to this statement.

At first, I was appalled then laughed at the whole "black" and then "ghetto" culture. Then I realized what Ron was really talking about was "REAL" life. Let's be REAL: if someone throws a drink at you, what do you do?

So, for Artest, he equates that with "ghetto" because in that environment, REAL is important, i.e. Eazy-E: Reality is very important to me...

See, Ron cannot escape to that world where reality is a place "where I wouldn't want to live."

Thank you. He didn't do jack to Ben, coz' Ben would have crushed him. Instead, he goes after the smallest guy in the stands... right next to the bigger guy, who in fact threw the cup at him. Ron's your typical bully. He's also got a chemical imbalance somewhere. It's only a matter of time before he explodes again. Hopefully, he can get another album out before then...
