OT: 3-team trade (CLE-MIL-OKC)

Post#1 » by Neb » Wed Aug 13, 2008 8:45 pm

Haven't seen this anywhere here...

Cleveland gets Mo Williams
Milwaukee gets Luke Ridnour, Damon Jones and Adrian Griffin
Oklahoma gets Joe Smith and Desmond Mason

That signals the end of Delonte West in Cleveland. I thought he played well for them. I think I would have preferred him to Duhon. Not sure he would have signed for 2 years though.

CLE raped MIL in the ass and I think OKC did nice too since they got rid of that stiff Ridnour. Big Mo Williams fan and not so much a Ridnour fan. I think Lebron will be happy about this move and Redd well no....

Mil might have had the worst offseason of any team this summer. Deal for RJ(Who I never liked) and gave up Yi in the deal...........................Poor move financially and then deal Mo Williams for nothing. I am not even giddy about that Joe Alexander pick for them. And I could care less about the Skiles hiring.

Poor Buck fans.

Better to play in New York than in Israel.

lol....Yi sucks!....being from the east coast, you will see this up close...the Bucks(cancer free, see ya Mo) with RJ, Redd, and Bogut will place higher than both scrub NY/NJ teams.....Skiles will have the Bucks in the playoffs!

Umm mil just dumped some big salary. Not sure they want more salary back. Also ramon sessions is gonna be the starting pg there now, he had a good 2nd half of the season in MIl.

Not really. Cavs are still looking to re-sign him. He could either start with Mo in the backcourt, or (as I'd prefer) be the 3rd guard and come off the bench. A West/Gibson guard combo is pretty nice for the bench. At the very least, they'll sign him to the qualifying offer and use him in a trade for a big.

That might be true but you're also trapped in mediocrity, something we've finally learned from it seems. Have fun fighting for a 7th or 8th seed I guess.

Luke Ridnour - Ramon Sessions
Michael Redd - ??
Richard Jefferson - Charlie Villanueva
Joe Alexander - Charlie Villanueva
Andrew Bogut - Joe Smith

Looks good.

I dunno about Joe Alexander as your starting 4.
Kid is (a) a rookie, and (b) more a 3 or at best a hybrid 3/4.

That team clearly needs Zach Randolph!

Had to adjust the opening comment. Just was not appropriate for this forum.

Love the deal for Cleveland. Though Mo Williams is a score first guard but they have one of the best distributors in LeBron already.

Cleveland got the better of end of this deal.

They needed more scoring in the back court and they got it.

Ilgaukas
Varejao
Lebron
West
Williams

Not bad at all.

I'd definitely send them Randolph for Bum Wallace and their 2010 first round pick at this point.

I actually like this deal for both teams. Mo Williams is talented, but he is not a good fit for that team. He will be a perfect fit in Cleveland, but the Bucks have scoring options, they need a true point guard to lead that team and Williams wasnt that. I think Ramon Sessions will beat out Ridnour for the starting spot, I believe Sessions is a very good PG and will emerge as a big name once his MPG increases.

I like it for both teams, Bucks shed some payroll while opening up room for their young PG, the Cavs pickup a big scoring threat to help out LeBron.

Now if only we could unload Zach on Cleveland, yeah Im dreaming
