OT:I think that Denver is going to be a team to reckon with

Post#1 » by onlyonesharky » Mon Oct 20, 2008 1:32 pm

http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi ... ever_been/

Getting rid of Camby was huge but also got rid of his possible injury prone body (even though last year he did much better in that area).

The addition of Balkman and the return of Anderson: Two guys who want to prove how much better they are and who do have good to very good talent with possibly even great talent...*To Balkman's credit, if you recall there were several games where he would get over 10 rebounds (sometimes over 15-17) when given 30MPG). I even compared him to Dennis Rodman to many posters laughable feedback.
Let's give LEBRON the BLACK-AND-BLUE-PRINT!

Carmelo > Knicks. *******

Btw, I`m a Knicks fan, but Carmelo is my favorite player

Watch the language, the name calling and abusive tone towards other posters. I don't want to have to warn you on this again.

Thank you.

Agreed. I think the same teams make the playoffs as last year in the west except Portland steals the Nuggets spot. I think JR can be a good player if he matures, but they're going to have to jettison AI and KMart and rebuild

You do know the Nuggets are in the western conference?

Denver is lottery bound. I expect Iverson to be moved at the deadline.

While it is a largely undiscussed idea, is it possible that Melo comes to NY in 2010. I think he's got the same opt out deal that Bron & Wade have.

He'd have a huge audience, and that might appeal to him.

I'm not saying I wan't him, but he is a talented player who might fit in perfectly in a Dantoni offense.

C: (?)
PF: Chandler
SF: Gallo
SG: Melo
PG: (?)

Bench, Lee, Nate, (?)

on the Nuggets, Nah. I think they'll be OK, but they won't be great.
Embiid wanted to win so badly, he deliberately injured Mitchell Robinson.

Classy.

call me when Nene plays a whole season. Call me when he plays half a season.

Call me when K-Mart plays a whole season. Don't call me when his kneecaps fall off

50-32 is not that good? Sh*t, I can't wait to say something like that when the Knicks have a 50 win season.

they will have a losing record. Any team Balkman is playing major minutes on will not win. Especially not when you continue to play AI at SG and do not have a PG who can guard SGs. Not to mention that Carmelo is the only true cancer in the NBA and refuses to grow up and be a leader. Plus George Karl sucks. He's really good at getting mediocre play out of great players and not being able to elevate them to the next level (Allen, Payton, Kemp, etc...)

That means we might sign him. Depends on how Zach and 2010 go.

I'm not saying I want him, just that it's remotely possible.
Embiid wanted to win so badly, he deliberately injured Mitchell Robinson.

If we're waiting till 2012, I'd rather wait another year and get the best big man in the league

Yao is a FA in 2011, not 2013

Well hopefully we will be set at Forward with Chandler and Gallinari (I love how they can both play PF/SF) so they willbe our forwards. And if we resign Lee and Nate their deals will be beyond 2010. Ultimately for us to be in the position to offer the type of money Anthony will want we will need to get rid of both Randolph (possible) and Curry (will be difficult). If Crawford were to opt out of his contract then Currys 11 million in 2011 will be manageable but lets hope we can get him off the books. That being said, would we go after another SF/PF if we were locked in with our starting forwards and had Lee (hopefully as our starting Center) playing minutes at PF? It would make more sense to go after a guard. Hopefully we draft a PG (Mills, Lawson, Maynor, Curry) with our pick this year that can be in our future as a starter then go hard at Wade or another good SG like Caron Butler to put us over the top.

Denver has the best duo in the NBA so im not willing to right them off just yet but who really knows just yet. Will the Blazers meet there high expectations (a little too high IMO)? what teams will get hit with big time injuries? Can the Rockets gel together and stay healthy? There are alot of questions in the Western Conference its to hard to predict anything.
Go Knicks!

I meant to say if we're waiting till 2011, I'd rather wait another year

And I meant Dwight Howard. At that point, I don't think there's any way I would want Yao over Dwight. And Dwight has a PO for 2012/13 but its just shy of 20mn. I think he'll be able to ask for more than that easily by then.

Oden might be the best big by then, but I agree with you. I'd take Dwight over Yao too.

Dwight might be free-agentable cause Orlando's a small market team that might not be able to build around him. I think Yao's in Houston to stay. Dwight would be an awsome pickup.
Embiid wanted to win so badly, he deliberately injured Mitchell Robinson.
