Should we be concerned about Wilson Chandler's knee as some have Gallo's back?

WC injury - should we be concerned?

Post#1 » by stuporman » Wed Oct 22, 2008 6:02 pm

Not even a half dozen games into pre-season and his same knee is acting up that sidelined him late last year. Should we be concerned it is cronic? Knees a fragile things especially with a player so reliant on hops as he.

Many are all down on Gallo because of his back even though he's played pro ball for years and his game isn't dependent on athleticism. While WC's game is all about his ability to leap and move so his knee could derail his upside for him in that respect. Both are young and have alot to prove still.

Should we as concerned about WC's knee as people have been about Gallo's back?

Yes, I'm concerned. It looks like he hyperextended it again. Though it didn't look as bad as the last game of the season. But two of those, on the same knee, in less than a year, doesn't bode well. I hope a procedure doesn't need to be done to correct the problem, though it will probably linger if rest is the prescribed rehab (Collison's shoulders kept popping out of joint until he finally had some procedures to correct it). I'll just hope and pray for the best.

Yes we should be concerned. I think we should start to tank right now because 2 of our players are hurt. -Jitpal

I chose "Concerned one day you might actually stfu so deprive the world of your insightful comments, witty humor and neato photoshops "

Because without you around I would be the only one with insightful comments, witty humor, and neato photoshops. And it'll get lonely up here on my pedestal. :D

Actually I'm not too concerned, he was walked off the court just fine whereas the first time he needed two guys to help him off. And both times they were freak accidents against the Celtics. I'm sure they have some sort of vendetta against him, maybe a voodoo doll with pins at the knees or something. If he says he'll be fine I'll take his word for it; who knows Wilson's body better than himself? (and maybe hoo.. er... emo)

I find it strange that so far not one person is more concerned about WC's knee than Gallo's back. Especially since Wilson has already shown flashes of being a beast at the NBA level that could be lost while Gallinari hasn't played a minute yet.
