Clearly not his fault... that team is just brutal and Durant is far away from being a superstar if you ask me. Great talent but right now he's just an undisciplined chucker.

What do you expect him to do with the likes of Johan Petro and Nick Collison manning your front court?

He's 20 years old, in his second season with no help. As you can see when we played them, the only reason they scored was because of the Knicks terrible interior defense. Against most teams, Collison is not getting 5 easy dunks and Westbrook and Watson are not getting 20 uncontested layups.
BAF Suns

Chris Paul / Patrick Beverley / Shamorie Ponds
Buddy Hield / Timothy Luwawu / Stanley Johnson
Kendrick Nunn / Matisse Thybulle / Darius Miller
RJ Barrett / Kyle Kuzma / Dwayne Bacon
DeAndre Jordan / Kenrich Williams / DJ Wilson

Yep, usual scapegoat coach situation. They have been cheap. Presti had some bad selections and Durant didn't turn out to be (at least yet) what he is supposed to be. I don't know what they have been expecting.

So there is your reason why Carlesimo deserved more time with these guys.

GREAT avatar btw!

I dont think they should have fired him, it was too soon. The manangement made a bad move by bringing an former assistant coach instead of a guy who have coached before. Now they brought Carlesimo, they should have stayed with him for half of the year or something.

And, I highly doubt Avery would go to that team. I dont see it happening at all and if he does it would be a mistake.

Their team SUCKS.

Green isnt that good
Bustbrook isnt that good

They drafted nurmerous centers that are bust in consecutive order.

Should have drafted Augustin or Bayless. They provide outsidde scoring that Bustbrook does not.

westbrook actually looks good...they are all young...durant is just not a great player right now, he plays like crawford

they just need 1 superstar to play with durant and westbrook...and wilcox up front...probably a center in the draft......no need to fire PJ...he wasnt a bad coach.....damn ever since spree choked him

Return to New York Knicks
