OT: Mavs Vs. Suns

Post#1 » by ezmoney707 » Fri Dec 5, 2008 2:24 am

Man the Suns are looking bad lately. I know it is early but they been taking some bad losses. Their offense seems stagnant. I even saw Raja Bell having to create his own shot at times. Crazy

Terry Porter is garbage. He's trying to have a high powered offense and a great defense. He doesn't have neither right now.

If they keep losing Nash and Stoudemire won't even make it to 2010 before changing teams. They could blow it up in the offseason if things get bad enough.

It's all about the system. What people that complained about D'Antoni's defensive job in Phoenix failed to realize is that he didn't have a roster that was designed to be a good defensive team. Amare, Barbosa and Nash are pretty bad defenders and they each play 30+ minutes a game so there is zero chance that playing defensive ball is going to win there. D'Antoni maximixed what they could do (play offense) and that's why they got as far as they did.

The same is happening here with the Knicks. We want to play better defense but we have no 2 way players other than Duhor and Chandler (to an extent) so the only way we are going to get wins is by maximizing the offensive skills that our roster has.

Porter is trying to do in Phoenix what Brown tried to do in New York, make bad defensive players win by playing defense. Will not work.

The Suns was always a team with offense and no defense, now they dont have the offense and still dont have any defense. By offense, I mean Mike antoni.

They facing Dirk at the wrong night, hes on fire for this game. They make Dallas look like the Pistons when they won it all.

well the suns closed the lead to 10, but the suns just don't seem to have an identity.. Funny they go smaller and they start to score points and close the lead...

Steve Kerr needs to be fired. The Suns' advantage was playing small ball and outrunning their opponents. Trading Marion for an aging Shaq, the Suns lost in terms of chemistry AND talent. It's sad, because the Suns were always an amazing team to watch and an experiment that deserved a few more runs at a title.

Oh well, thank god we got D'Antoni.
