are there any reasonable trades left?

Post#1 » by bkknicks19 » Wed Feb 18, 2009 10:38 pm

With the news coming that the kings have dealt brad miller away to the bulls and the knicks taking lee off the market, are there any reasonable and realistic trades left for the knicks to make that will make them a better team this season and maybe move some bad contracts or are we gonna stand still and pretty much scrap any plans for a playoff push?

Personally, I think the knicks won't do anything anymore and will probably tank for the rest of the season..

The Wizards are still in play. If they seriously want to reduce salary for 2009-2010, the Knick have the means to help them out.

Lee is reportedly off the market.
Do you really think larry hughes makes this knicks team any better?
Darko? I guess I can see how he can be useful since he is big but I don't know how productive he is..

The real question is, after the deadline will there be any reasonable Knicks fans left?

Probably not.

Looks like a combination Mullin-Isiah type deal.

I wouldn't do this trade... The knicks need an inside presence way more than they need a SG so nate basically gets traded for a bag of beans. I think nate is worth a bit more to us than this proposed deal/

Darko seems to be a bit more productive than i thought. ( i definitely thought he was another eddy curry) but i'm not sure that memphis would take this deal simply because I dn't think they need or want marbury. I do like the idea of adding darko for the short term a lot more than doing absolutely nothing...

The problem in New York is that going without drama creates more drama and people go crazy if the Knicks stay put because some of us feel that this whole talk about trading Nate, Lee, Curry(?), Jeffreis, Marbury, and M.Rose is worthless if it didn't happen. Is very confusing cause posters here will be very upset that "washed up" Walsh didn't make any deals and others will disagree and we are going to have a feud so prepare yourself for a nice little war to go on once the trade deadline is over and no deals done by our Beloved New York Knicks. Fans here go crazy with Jeffreis and Curry still on this roster after Walsh convinced all of us that there's a plan in 2010 that might work but we are not sure it will cause of the garbage we have right now so who knows what can happen. I just hope that Walsh can manage to trade these expiring chumps at Draft Day.

Only the ones who think a SG is not a necessity. :noway:

BTW these guys are ranked no. 1 and no. 3 in the league in 3point %. You would think people would be aware of how these guys would fit in D"Antoni system? Damn!
