You really shouldnt use the word "genius" so lightly, because real genius exist and they prove it. The guy knows basketball. Afterall, his plans have not happened yet. Anybody can give players max contract, but its who you give it to is what's important. Even if he lands up L. James plus another superstar, I wouldnt call him a genius.
The difference between Walsh and I. Thomas or previous GMs the Knicks had is that Walsh makes the better decisions. I am not taking away from Walsh, but I am sure many people from this message board alone could get the Knicks under the cap before 2010.
