OT - Blueprint 3 has leaked

I wasn't feeling any of the earlier tracks that leaked but some of the other tracks are pretty dope

jcole track crazy
mr hudson track dope
swizz beat track niice

thats my crappy review what are your thoughts ?

It's okay, I'm disappointed a bit because I hold Jay to a higher standard. This is one of his weakest albums but it's actually solid enough after two listen throughs to stay in rotation...might be a "grow on you" album like American Gangster was for me.

Jay-Z shares Ghost's good album-bad album pattern..

(Happily ignoring Dynasty partly because it was more of a group effort and mainly because it messes up my pattern)

Resonable Doubt - good album
Vol 1 - bad
Vol 2 - good
Vol 3 - bad
Blueprint - great album
Blueprint 2 - bad album
Black Album - good!
Kingdom Come - bad again
American Gangster - good album
Blueprint 3 - going to be bad, huzzah!

*SO* i'm not too fussed about this album, be it good or bad, i'm more looking forward to the next album - the pattern doesn't lie! Except for Dynasty! Which is kind of a meh album anyway! I mean 18-hustler was good! But most of the tracks were a waste! Who was that chic on that album she only had like 2 lines! Anyway, how was Bleek so good on parts of that album and so bad on his solo discs! I'm bored.

The Black Album was good?

I mean if Vol 2 was good and Reasonable Doubt was good then the Black Album is so-so.

Or as Jay would say,

"One was Naaahhhh, the other was...."

Little math/logic.

Vol 2 = Reasonable Doubt
Vol 2 > Black Album
Black Album < Vol 2 and < Reasonable Doubt

Volume 1 had some classic tracks though. Of course, the crap like "I know what girls like" with puff & kim hurt the album overall.

Upon first run through, not a big fan. It wouldn't surprise me if it grew on me after a few listens though, so i'll reserve judgment.

Great album from my point of view. Can't expect the man to duplicate his former success every time out, nobody does that. Having said that, if this isn't your cup of tea, Cash Money or Lil' Boosie is sure to be putting something out soon.

havent heard the album, but i agree with this statement.. hip hop is pretty much dead, its all pop music with naughty language nowadays and catchy club beats..

ot.. chef album is out next week i believe, has it leaked aside from a few songs that have circulated on here? any reviews if it has?

ive heard 2 tracks from it, "new wu" which is fire imo and "house of flying daggers" which i wasnt really feelin tbh

really only 2 semi-new tracks i can listen to atm, "new wu" and "auditorium" (mos def/slick rick), im prayin chefs new album has at least a few gems
