Apparently the Knicks were interested in Marquis Daniels

Post#1 » by ctorres » Thu Sep 3, 2009 4:07 am

The Celtics and Pacers attempted to work out a sign-and-trade that would have netted Daniels more money, and he drew interest from the Bobcats, Mavericks, Rockets, Knicks and Magic on the open market.

Daniels would have been great ONLY if he could shoot 3 pointers at a good percentage.

^hahaha, exactly. Daniels would have been great....if he were great. Decent bench guy for Boston though. He isn't completely terrible. Any half decent guy with some athleticism that they can bring off the bench for cheap is a good idea for them.

Another writer trying to get his; can't fault a guy for trying to make $$$. Nothing to see here though, move along.

Daniels sucks. He single-handedly got us a win against the Pacers last year by shooting so much. He is the Jared Jeffries of SG's.
RIP Jared Jeffries. Gone but never forgotten...2006-2012

Lol true. I always thought he was overrated. A better person, but worse version of Josh Howard.

Marquis Daniels is a fine backup SG/SF type. He's physical, aggressive and rebound the ball.

Yeah, all true, but why would we want him. I think that was the point. He's a solid defender, but he can't create his own shot. Why would we want a SG that can't hit a 3 playing in this system of basketball.
