Last three seasons, Allen is hitting 2.9 3s per 36 on 42%.
Harris in same timespan is hitting 2.4 3s per 36 on 39%.
Not that big of difference. And Allens % is inflated by playing next to 3 offenive juggernauts, he wont be that open in Orl.

Allen’s biggest upgrade over Harris is availability.

Played games past 2 seasons

Allen = 147
Harris = 102

I never said he is not better option than Harris. Just not the right option we should go for with our capspace.

I think KCP is my #1 target now. His style of play would fit in. Allen got $17.5m per year. You could probably get KCP at around that range for 3 years.

How many clutch plays did he make down the stretch? Hawks didn’t miss young at all. Murray is cheaper.

KCP may want money to move teams. I’m a big fan of KCP for this team. I like him over Monk now.

JI isn’t your starting center? I doubt any of the centers you have listed want to play 2nd fiddle.

Tyus and Cole don’t work together in the same rotation. I don’t see us doing anything with Cole this offseason.
I love JI, not sure I trust him... yet.

That's a great point about Tyus and Cole. I'm with you.

Would love to trade Cole for Tyus but I believe Cole has a poison pill that makes trades more difficult?

Maybe WAS would be happy to eat the poison if it meant they got something for Tyus?

$17.5m for 3 years is more than the $15m he's getting now. KCP is a great defender. I'm not sure how it would work bringing in Monk when I heard a stat the other day that we give up the 6th most guard points in the league.

It's too bad Simons can't defend because offensively, he's close to Maxey.

I wonder what will happen if you bring one of the worst defenders to team build around having no defensive weak links.....

I m pretty sure that ATL s management know that Murray is better than Murray and that Trae could bring them more assets in a trade BUT I don't think the ownership would sign on it.

Like it or not, Trae had more star power, sell more seats than Murray

It s a business at the end of the day and Atlanta had not had a star for years and won't be ready to trade it anytime soon

Which is a HUGE mistake to my eyes as I d take Murray over overrated Trae any days of the week
Draft Carter
Sign monk
Trade Cole for a forward
Let chuma+fultz go
Offer Harris and goga a 1+1 deal

unleash Jett next seaon

Go Magic

Suggs, AB, Carter

From what I heard, KCP would like a 4yrs contract, so basically a contract similar to what Allen got

Gary on a 1+1

Ingles assistant coach

Draft a pf/c

Get a lle vet pf/c (I d like to keep goga but he won't take a 1+1 offer)

Suggs, AB , Cole
KCP, Jett, Gary
Franz, Jett, Houstan
PB, Moe , vet
JI, wcj, rookie
Draft Carter
Sign monk
Trade Cole for a forward
Let chuma+fultz go
Offer Harris and goga a 1+1 deal

unleash Jett next seaon

Go Magic

Suggs, AB, Carter

Simons would be the #3 scoring option on the Magic. As to his defense, this is where Coach Mosley's system makes Simons a better player. Defense is a learnable skill (to "average team defender"). Scoring is not.

Are they starting or part of the closers and if not for what reason ? I will also point out that difference between Cole and Simons is about as big as between Cole and Suggs.

Cole is 4th in minutes played, Mo is 5th, Joe is 8th.

I dont think so. Lets see how Simons defends in a team where the coach cares about defense, and vice versa with Cole on a tanking team. We need guard offense and shooting more than anything else, even if that means one starter is below average defender.

Edit: And yes, Cole is part of the closers. Right after Suggs he is the guard with the most clutch minutes. Why? Because he can (kind of) shoot. To win close games, you do not only need to defend, you need to get a bucket yourself too, while other team defends hard. How are we doing here? In clutch time we are 26th in FG%, 29th in 3P%, 21th in FT%.
