If the magic don't come out and win this game tnite against this nothing special cavs squad, that is a *very concerning* sign for
what this team may be.

Going 'all in' on a core of Paulo/Franz/suggs(?) with some tweaks and locking yourself into a core of that going forward? If they go down 0-3(and looking horrible doing it) to this cavs team? Yeeesh.....thats like putting a ton of money into a 2017 chevy cavalier.....

I mean I'm already pretty convinced the ceiling on a Paolo/Franz/Suggs core is lower than the cloth headliner in an 89' Cadillac Deville.......but going down 0-3 to this cavs pretty much means I'm not even sure the most optimistic sunshine pumper could really push that as a good strategy.

I think it would be a bit overreacting. We have our young core, Paolo, Franz and Suggs. They are 21, 22 and 22 years old.

Just think about this, just two years ago, majority of yall here think Suggs was a bust. Now he is most likely first team all defense.

Plus we still have AB and Jett not even in the rotation. Maybe that is why Jeff Wetman believes in Organic growth. Even though I am not a fan of it :nod:

Just didn't have enough time chemistry wise to work with that unit. Not surprised by the change. Hopefully JI can play better in a bench role.

I think there is a lot of context to it. Probably should have changed after the first game to be honest. Our 2nd unit suffered from him not being it.

I think it could be tested again vs a different opponent.

I mean my take through 2 games is the Cavs haven't really done anything special and put big bodies in the paint. Our perimiter offense has been bad all season, that isn't a take, it is a fact, and we didn't address it at all during the off-season or the regular season by the trade deadline. The number one problem is the ball doesn't want to go through the hoop, that literally is it. The defense has been elite and if you say otherwise you are just looking at point totals and pointing out that a team won by 10+ points.
