Hes personally my fave player on the team and very close between him and Paolo for best player in pinstripes.

But if a trade came up for another star, would i do it? Depending on the guy, why not consider it?

Look at the Sabonis/Haliburton trade. Both teams were objectively much better for having swapped players. Those trades arent conmon but they do exist.

Im not looking to trade either of the 2 stars, but my antenna would be up for a blockbuster that improves the team.

What may be more remarkable, 0-0 FTs, I’m sure the only one on this list with 0 FTs. Wonder if this is a league high points w/o any FTs?
I liked how Mosley emphasized the number of drives into the paint without a call.

Crazy.

You can read it on the TWolves game thread. And it's been sprinkled around other threads and they sound serious.

It's just from people excited about Paolo and wanting to surround him with shooters. Meanwhile we can't even replace Markelle Fultz with a shooter. They would never even get to "upgrade Franz" on the todo list.

I know he's shot a bit better lately, but his shot looks kind of busted to me. I don't have much confidence when he launches a 3 anymore. He's gotta do some work on that this offseason.

Franz so far in February (5 games, 4-1 record)

28.0 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 4.4 APG, 1.0 SPG, 0.6 BPG, 2.0 TOV on a .563/.371/.826 slash.

And that includes one of the worst games of his career in Miami on 2/6!

He looks more agressive in the past month. Aggressive Franz is a scary prospect for the rest of the league.

It seems like Paolo thinks they are equal. Vs Bulls he deffered to Franz late in the game. That would be the best case scenario, defense cant prepare for one player.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Yeah, Paolo definitely deferred as he focused on passing the ball.

This seems accurate. They seem to have a tremendous mutual respect for each other. I think Franz's no nonsense professional work ethic and "do what wins" mindset allows Paolo to relax and defer when required. They are both mature beyond their years

This guy can truly be anything he wants...he can be elite at whatever he prioritizes (maybe not D, but he's long and competitive enough to be solid). I think he's an ideal 3rd option who can still score inside and out, average close to 20ppg and progress as more of a spot-up shooter without giving up his elite ability to navigate to the rim. Paolo is the Alpha Dog, but he's an Alpha Dog in the genre of Jokic (not Iverson or Durant). I think the ideal offensive configuration is another high scoring aggressive guard, which will kind of relegate Franz to more of a Turk role (but much better)...knowing he can get to he hoop anytime he wants, knock down open 3's if that's tonight's assignment, bring up the ball and/or move it around the perimeter...he's an offensive chameleon. This is not, in my mind, a negative thing...I also think he will score 40+ on many nights in his career.

Just like Turk, he might be a 3rd option in the grind of the regular season, but in the playoffs you’ll try your two 6’10” forwards first and let the little guard throw up a shot late if needed.
