How about Solomon Alabi? http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Solomon-Alabi-551/

Dude is young, Dirt cheap.....7"1 251+ can block shots and not so bad offensively...Rookie like him won't have any problems playing 10-12 minutes...Can probably learn a lot playing behind Dwight also hit the weight room with im...He is a free agent though so i doubt we would outright sign him...Sounds like we want to get rid of some players but i would Love Solomon to be here....He went to FSU as well

^^^ When we get our backup, I would think we would want an experienced big who knows his role rather than a rook

how good a backup can we get really? All we need is a big body that can rebound and maybe block shots and at 7"1 255 with long arms that's not bad plus he's young with potential....sometimes people look down on youth but i much rather have a rookie with some bounce in his step than an old vet that can't move anymore

Not enough talk about Courtney Sims.

Sims is a D-league star. He has good hands and a very nice rebounder and OK shot blocker (against unqualified opponents). He has "some" NBA experience and has been in training camps.

If Orlando need a practice squad guy who can body up with Howard, Sims is definitely worth a look.

Soon 10-day contacts will be available. Why not "burn" one on Sims and see what he can offer?
