Re: UCF Football: Kickoff Countdown
Pretty surprising given UCF's close relationship with Fairwinds

The article states that this was an obvious choice due to the ongoing partnedrship with cfe and ucf credit union.

All about the money when it comes to these kind of partnerships. At least it's a bank and not a prison company like our friends to the actual south lol

The gradient looks terrible in both the A and American. I can't believe they paid someone for this. They are going to have to use an alternate when it comes to painting this on a field.

It's not bad, though it does indeed look like the Arizona Wildcats 'A' morphed with the Heineken star.

Looks like the game in Ireland is gaining some traction but I still don't see much a benefit except for the people connected to get free trips to Ireland.

I'll have to give this some time.

Just about a done deal.
Of course, some in the administration took it upon themselves to make a several day junket to preview the site and other amenities. I guess that's one of the "benefits" of having a game in Ireland.

From a recruiting standpoint, I can definitely see the appeal. Just not very fun for us fans who can't afford the flight. It's all very similar to accepting a bowl trip to Hawaii. It's the student athlete experience.

Josh Robbins @JoshuaBRobbins
UCF's Keith Clanton, UF's Erik Murphy and FSU's Michael Snaer will work out for the #Magic today. UF's Kenny Boynton 2moro.
Fear the beard! Let's go Keith. He'd be a great selection at the end of the second round imo.

Re: UCF Football: Kickoff Countdown
Rumor is USF game will be at noon on black Friday. smh. Nothing like a hot early game the day after Thanksgiving when everyone is shopping to draw in the crowds.
Hopefully it'll still draw a huge crowd since it's the rivalry game but damn TV preventing it from being a night game sucks.

The early time is unfortunate.
In other news, good recruiting day. Three commits

Kind of expected, and yes it isn't the most opportune time for either going or watching.

He's had trouble with consistency IMO but when he gets it going he's a great back. Terrific hands and can catch it out of the back field. Very powerful vertical runner. Put a decent line in front of him that can create holes and he'll get you yardage.
Just don't expect him to bust off to the sides and take it 90 yards or juke someone out of their shoes. More likely to use an effective stiff arm and pick up an extra 2-3 yards in the process though.

Former Mr. Football for the state of New York. Really grew into a leader for the program. He's going to be able to handle the next level because of his size and great hands. If it wasn't for a past knee injury, I thought he should have gone higher in the draft. Oakland should be very happy to have him.
