That Arenas will once again be wearing a Magic Uniform after he sits out a year?

That is what Gil said he wanted to do...go where Dwight goes.

Would we take him back? I prefer going after Nash, but would we take back Gil "IF HEALTHY"

No. Unless he is going to be the 3rd pg off the bench. dude worked out for the lakers and some other teams earlier in the year while he was supposedly healthy. considering that the lakers with their pg problems didn't sign him, thats a pretty good indication he just doesn't have anything left in the tank anymore.

Arenas did Tweet that he would play with Dwight next year. Damn, I wonder if this has been a plan all along.

Arenas for the Minimum as a backup after a Duhon trade is an awesome idea.

Gilbert will be back with the Magic next year IMO. Idk how it is gonna end up, but like he says, he still talks to Dwight, you know they are really close. Dwight was pissed when he got cut. Lets see if Gil can make 1 more push at a come back. I think this is his final chance though.

I am so indifferent on Gil. I remember how great he was... I just do not think Gil could thrive in an SVG offense. Gil is pretty much an improviser on the court, which would drive SVG crazy. But he sure could light it up when he was healthy. If he is healthy, I think you have to give him a shot. Even if we were able to sign Steve Nash, I think you have to give Gil a shot because of the potential return.

As far as the Lakers not signing him, I do believe Gil told the Lakers that he wanted to wait to see what Howard did and thus no offer as of yet had been made.

Lakers are finishing up a three team trade that will send Blake to Portland and Beasley coming back. Strong feeling that the Lakers will sign Gilbert.

For the Beasley trade? If so, its everywhere. For the Gilbert signing, it's just my feeling.

I would take him on the cheap. He'd be much better than Duhon.

I'll take him back, I honestly think he makes us better and would greatly help off the bench. Bring in Gil and Fran in the offseason and I'm a happy man.

Dwight Howard did say he was going to opt in. If that was the true they would have him sign before tomorrow trade deadline. This is just Dwight way of having Orlando stale so they will be unable to make a trade. By all accounts Dwight wants his cake and eat it too. He does not want the Nets to give up any assets to land him. EVERYONE around the league knows that Howard wants to go play in New Jersey. You guys are drinking the cool-aide

Several teams looked at Giland passed. Why would we offer him a contract? Dwight not opting out doesn't mean he's staying even another year. If we got bounced from the playoffs it would only take a few comments from him to be right back to talking trade in the summer.

Your opinion means nothing here, Celtics fan.
